But Tim if we had the flush mount like the explorer and F 150 we would have all those swirl marks to polish out  Much happier with the matt finish on the B pillars:like:
Greg, Not sure if you knew this but if you take off that black wrapping on the B pillars it's painted the color of your truck.

Don't you say anything Rick :giggle: That Dave is a devious little suka:LOL:
Yes Rick please don't say anything. This is on a "need to know basis" and I DO NOT need to know. ?

I was going to get one for my Lariat ranger, but I've realized it would be useless for my intentions since the truck will unlock if someone grabs the door handle if the keys are inside! ?
This is not the case. If you lock it via the keypad, proximity lock/unlock is disabled.
Correct and they would either need to put the code in the entry pad or unlock with a 2nd key fob. Touching door without a fob would do nothing.
Omg really? That's awesome! I'll be adding one of those keypads to my list now!
All of this is true (even tested again today to be sure) but I wanted to add that if you try to lock the fob inside on a Lariat using the door handle, the buttons on the inside of the door, or the fob itself, then when you go to shut the door the truck will unlock itself and double-honk at you.

I also tested all of those with a 2nd fob on me and when closing the door it's smart enough to leave everything locked with the 1st fob inside, and to allow proximity entry only with the 2nd fob afterwards. Good for when your significant other wants to leave theirs in the vehicle, buried in a bag or something. You don't have to go digging for it in order to lock up.

@LevittownFordParts.com can you comment on the installation of these keypads? Are we able to self program? Seems like there is a lot of back and forth. Would be good to hear it from you guys

There are two types. They look identical but one is for Rangers that come with factory remote start (https://www.levittownfordparts.com/sku/kb3z-14a626-b.html) and one is not (https://www.levittownfordparts.com/sku/kb3z-14a626-a.html).

If you have a Ranger with factory remote start then you can buy the keypad that is for the Rangers with factory remote start and do not need to take it to the dealership to program it. It will come with instructions on how to program it.

If you do not have factory remote start, then you need to but the one that is for vehicles not with factory remote start and take it to the dealership to program.

This is the comprehensive response I've been looking for. Thank you! Wondering if it will be possible with forscan in the near future.

Do a search on here or use Google and have it search here for that. It has been posted on the process to follow with Forscan to pair the keypad

You know those Ford pass points. Well getting the unit and having them put it in would use those points pretty much.

I had such an argument with a local dealer over that keypad that I won't ever go back there (they probably wouldn't let me in anyways LOL). They refused to even look at it because the service writer said that they're installed by aftermarket shops and not supported by Ford.
I showed him it was on my window sticker, and build sheet, and of course it is viewable as an option right on the Ford website when you're building a Ranger. He insisted he was right which got me quite aggravated.
