I had a valve keeper stop keeping at 59,000 miles. Ford replaced the engine. I was a little nervous because long blocks were not available at the time so the engine was partially assembled by the dealer.
New engine now has 27K on it and runs fine.
I did purchase a Ford Premium extended...
I was able to walk away from this.... wrong way driver hit me, I was doing 60 mph and had about 2 seconds to brake as the other car appeared around a turn.
Keep in mind you can get one after your factory warranty expires. I got mine at 74,000 miles and added 60,000 more.
I know already I'm going to use it because my climate control blend door is making the occasional clicking noise. That repair alone would be more than the price of the warranty...
Actually you can extend your warranty way AFTER you factory warranty has expired.
I put one in my 2020 Ranger this year that had 74K miles on in it. It's a Ford ESP Premium Warranty. I added 60K miles and 3 years. I'm good until 134K miles.
I used Lombard Ford online it was a very easy...
I believe there is a video on YouTube on how to fix the blend door without pulling the whole dash apart. It looked doable to me except that my back is F'd and I know that I would tap out doing that job.
I recently purchased an extended warranty to cover the truck for another 60K miles. I had 74K miles on the truck so I'm good until 134K.
It is a Ford ESP Premium Care with a $200 deductible. I bought it from Lombard Ford online after doing much research. They had the best deal. I can give you...
5 Years of additional coverage for your 2019 Ranger with a $100 deductible, not including the discount that you'll get if you provide your email to get a code. $200 deductible would be less, obviously.
Yes, but it is a Premiu
This was the maximum that was available in my case 60K miles 36 months. I'll get to 134K miles before the 36 months are up.
If you are just worried about your transmission or other powertrain issues you can get your warranty extended for way less than what 1 repair...
I thought that too.....but not true. Check out their website you can price different levels of protection and different deductibles. Once they have your email they will probably offer a discount on their already vg rates.....and they have regular "holiday sales".
My lease was up in October and I purchased my Ranger XLT FX4 with the Technology package. I like the truck, there were no 5G trucks around anywhere and I was over my allotted 19,500 miles per year by about 8,00 miles. So it made sense to me to purchase it. Oh and BTW the engine was replaced at...
I agree.......I've refused to activate it on any of the 5 Ford trucks I've owned over the last 13 years. I regularly speed, have had my trucks to the track, and had several of them tuned and modified with Forscan. All my business not theirs.
I'm in my glove box a lot because I eat lunch in my truck several times a week and I keep napkins and stuff in there. One afternoon I opened it and lot's of tiny pieces of napkin fell out perfectly shredded like a paper shredder would do. F##k!
So I took everything out and placed a trap in...
I realize my Ranger is a heavier vehicle.....but the Bronco Sport (1.5) is down 90 HP and 130 lbs of TQ in comparison.
The 2.0 would have been a more appropriate base engine IMO. I mean it is called a "Sport" after all.
