Figured I’d do an introduction and start my build thread all in one.

I purchased my 2020 Ranger XLT super crew back in early January, it currently has just under 4,000 miles on her. It’s pretty kitted out from the dealer already, but definitely not the end goal.

? Flimsy plastic thing covering my engine? I don’t think so ? I’m traditionally an old truck buyer ( 95’ F350 pstroke, 73 international, 76 F250 “Highboy” ) This is my first new rig, but I definitely like it old school!

As far as tailgate damper, these tailgates are so light I don’t see a point

It is the claimed 40 Hp you get from adding a damper according to Dave.

As you made have heard, the engine cover is now a collectible item and will go up in value as supplies dwindle along with splash guards and other plastic bits. You should really consider the damper...haven’t you seen the dyno charts? Clearly a mod worth having...come on over to the damper_side. We have kookies. S/

Some ranger5g members have even traded their tailgate dampers for engine covers.

I like the ugly bruteness of no engine cover ???‍ That being said, I wouldn’t pass up a free one lol
