Default Radio band

I tried a search, but since it's a two character search it was hard to drill down.

I'd like for my radio to default to the FM band when I push the button, but it starts at the AM band. Am I missing a setting somewhere? This is an XL model, so not the fancy head unit, just the basic one.

Bluetooth works fantastic, but if I just want to listen to the radio, it's three button pushes. First world problems, my other car doesn't even have a working stereo.

Weird... I've got an XL with the basic radio also and it remembers what I was listening to, and always defaults back to that.

Are you saying yours doesn't do that?

But our truck does have the FX4 package, which includes the 101A upgrades.

I have an XLT with the small screen - no electronic upgrades - basic radio. My last station is always remembered.

@WorldPax may have to scroll through the settings menu for a while. Either that or read the dreaded Owner’s Manual. ?

While researching the Sync 3 retrofit I seen that some ACM calibrations had a bug where the radio would default to AM when powered off. I suggest checking to make sure your radio is on the latest software version. If that doesn't work ask the dealer to update the ACM calibration because it's not intended behavior.

I would think it would stay on whatever the last selection was when you shut the truck off, blue tooth, USB, FM, AM or Sirius etc .

Might also try disconnecting the battery for a minute and reattach it

You just gave me a great idea! I’m going to make a battery terminal connection that has an adjustable quick release made out of copper. Makes doing that a quick painless operation.

Quarters for the car wash? Might take longer to load the coins than to wash your truck. In Canada, we replaced our $1 bill with a coin 33 years ago, then introduced a $2 coin 24 years ago. Car wash and laundromat owners rejoiced - exotic dancers, not so much.
