Since I had to get an adapter and do some FORscan mods (mainly for tire size) - I've been doing some digging into available mods and information. I've spent some time cleaning up the wiki post here, and will continue to clean it up more as well. There's a few redundancies (some are HEX and some are as-built configs that I noticed) and I want to keep the available information as well as compile it together. (Maybe I'll even alphabetize!!)

I'll keep working on it, and if you see something that's off, just reply or send me a PM and I'll fix it as well.
I'd like to thank you for the info you've provided. I got my OBDII adaptor and downloaded FORscan with a paid license. Just got done making some changes - so simple and effective. Talk about taking customization to the next level !

I can't take most of the credit for this information. I'm still working on cleanup of this wiki post, but I haven't really provided much. Definite credit to everyone who has added though!

I should have tire size modifications and some more cleanup done in the next day or two.

So, for anyone on the fence about FORscan, I can attest to how simple it is! I'm quite comfortable to making programming changes in modules, I've done it for years in automotive, Heavy Equipment, Semi's, Quads and sleds.
I received my OBDII adaptor from Amazon and then downloaded FORscan and paid for a 1 year license. ( the developers should be paid for their time)
Hooked up to my Ranger and it was very simple to make changes. The latest version of FORscan makes it simpler as the PID descriptions are listed, you then toggle the option you want to change. No worries about inputting a wrong character or changing the wrong one!
Changes I made:
Double Honk when leaving truck = DISABLED.
Panic Button on key fob = set to 2 quick presses to activate.
( I've had this go off a few times on me )
Bambi Mode = Turned ON.
(I live rural, having fog lamps to light up ditch is important)
Secured Idle = turned ON.
Cornering Lamps = turned ON.
(this turns on either fog lamp when signaling, lights up your turn direction)
This all took me less than 30 minutes.

When I asked dealer to make changes, they quoted me 1 hour at their "Electronic Rate" $171.00/hr Cdn

Adaptor & License = less than $100.00 Cdn.
ROI= Personal Customization that can't be beat !

Auto High Beams.....it seems as though the auto high beam come on around 30mph...is there a way to adjust that to come on at a lower speed or off all together?

Hey guys!
I have the Ford Performance Tune and wondering if I need to remove said tune before I use forscan???
I've tried but no luck with tune installed..

Tuner (crashed/screen stopped accepting touch) shortly after install and been waiting months for Ford to figure out how to get my stock brain back onto new unit!!

Even with the truck tuned you can still use ForScan with no issues. If anything my suggestion is to leave the PCM alone.

Wish I would've taken pics of what it says but being new to forscan I'm having no luck...
I've tried countless times to enter info it's asking but will not accept tunes numbers or serial # etc! Frustrating!!!!!
Was sure I've seen on the forums that with Ford tune installed other people have not been able to access truck also!
If Ford would be able to hurry up and get my stock brain back on my tuner this would not be be an issue!
Any suggestions??

Just want to make sure I understand. You tuned your truck and now are trying to use forscan and forscan doesn’t work?

I had this issue too. I had to return my truck to stock. Make the Forescan changes then reload my tune.

Hmmm wondering now if having done forscan changes will affect installing a tune.

It should not affect it but apparently it os affecting the Ford Performance tune which I think is silly. I have the Livernois tune and I can still access stuff on my truck with ForScan with the tune installed.

I don't think tune working or installing said tune after forscan modifications will be an issue...
It's just the accessing truck with forscan once Ford performance on is the issue....
My problem now is the damn Tuner (crashed/screen stopped accepting touch) shortly after install and been waiting months for Ford to figure out how to get my stock brain back onto the new unit they sent me!! No replies for a good month ..
SO until then I can't have it back to stock to mess with tweaking my truck! UGH!!!!

To my understanding you have the MyTouch calibrator from livernois's even though it has a nice cover on it that says Ford performance. With that being said do you have a program on your computer where you can connect the calibrator or tuner to your computer open up the program and it loads any updates to it? If so maybe you should try that and it might refresh it to where you can upload the stock tune to your truck.

Been trying that since September but Ford can't figure out how to get my info from where I uploaded my stock brain(Ford cloud) back onto my tuner! They can't seem to figure out how to resign my info to the new programmer they sent!
