you've had it for two months and blame the dealership for giving you 15psi?

how did you not see that they were under inflated for that long?

I would probably rule out some other possible causes before you start losing trust and blaming your dealer.
Low pressure tire warning should have popped up on the dash. Are you (original OP) getting a reading from all 4 tires in the truck??

Thats what I was hoping he would clarify
Forgive my ignorance. This is my first computerized vehicle. My last new truck was a 2005 Ford Ranger 4.0l V6 4x4 that I have just rebuilt from the ground up. Jasper Engine & Trannie, new wheel bearings, axles, brakes, shocks, ball joints, AC compressor, and all fluids replaced. A total reset and good for another 200k-300K.

I intend to keep both and purchased this one as my last new vehicle. Between the two of them I will be deep into old age when they need to be replaced.

I have not driven the 2020 Ranger, except to bring it home and then began to add the features that I wanted when time permitted. The 2005 Ranger was in the shakedown phase getting all the loose ends tidied up and I was focused on it. It is running like new now. Quite satisfying. I really like that truck. Anyway, the last two months was spent adding the following items.
  • Amp PowerSteps
  • Undercover HardCover for the bed
  • Bedrug bed cover
  • Mudflaps
  • UPR Catch Can (a bear to install)
  • Auto stop/start delete module
  • Tailgate damper
  • Vault Console ( rear seat that is not compatible and had to send it back) Both Ford and Console Vault assured me it would fit.
  • Tailgate and grill TVD Ranger badging
  • Smartliner Supercab Floor mats (Maxliner rebadged)
I just completed all of the upgrades and was taking it out for its maiden voyage when I noticed the low rear tires. If they leak that much air in 60 days I am in a lot of trouble. I have since found the settings and dug deep enough to see the pressure of all 4 tires.

I don't recall seeing anything on the dash but it was late 9:30 PM and dark, and I wouldn't even know where to look for it. Lots of bells and whistles and information overload.

Again, forgive my ignorance. Like I said, this is my first ( and probably last) computer on wheels.

The old Ranger has its charm, sometimes less is more...

Edited to add this ...
Addendum: Let me clarify just a little more. I drove it home from the dealer and it has not been out of the garage or even started until today when I was going through my checklist to insure everything was OK before its maiden voyage.

The good news - No Shudder at any speed. Took the wife grocery shopping and she said it felt more like a caddy then a truck... we are old school!

And I didn't even know it had air pressure sensors - Bluetooth???

Looking forward to your findings. The Ranger dipstick style shown in that shop manual procedure is different than what is shown in the PDF posted in Mustang forums. Please confirm which style you find.

Finally got a chance to check mine on Sunday. Drove the truck around for about 30-45 min, non-contact temp reading on the pan showed 198f and the dipstick fluid level was at the middle of the diamond, under the 5 mark. Guestimation has that at least 3/4 to 1 qt. low on fluid. There's no sign of leaks anywhere, so it'll be going in to the dealer to have them check it and add fluid so there's a paper trail on it. That way if there are any issues with the transmission later on, I have proof that the transmission was underfilled at the factory.

Thanks for the detail.
Seeing you never drove it the obvious things wouldn't have been so obvious.
My thoughts are air them up and drive. If there's slow leaks it'll show itself down the road.
Yeah, that is exactly what I did (air them up) and will be doing (Monitoring to see if there are any changes).

First impression is that the 2020 Ranger suspension is a little soft, and it is a completely different beast from the 2005 Ranger. I like them both, but for very different reasons. Each has its own charm.

I just discovered that I can access my entire music library on my samsung 128GB thumb nail size USB flashdrive with voice commands! It is basically (almost) flush with the port. I installed a Chinese Android Double DIN Radio in the 2005 Ranger with touch screen with the same flash drive, but this is better yet.

It would have popped up a big orange warning on the dash, no way you would have missed it. So probably it lost the air while sitting for 2 months. Not normal. Maybe unlucky enough to have 2 nails?

I just went out to check for a transmission dipstick, there is none on mine. I have the tech's comments on a RO that he checked the level, apparently it is not something the casual owner is expected to do. I know there is no way I am going to get the vehicle up to operating temperature and then go groping around under the vehicle to try to find that plug and remove it to check the level. Dumb idea, in my opinion, to put in that kind of arrangement without a level sensor we can read on the dash.

If I am mistaken, I can be certain I will be corrected...

A sensor or uh.. I don't know.. Maybe a friggen normal dipstick would be wonderful. So would having the ability to see the transmission temps like the Mustangs can would also be wonderful.

Once you have to the transmission up to temp, then while parked on a level surface crawl up under it and on the passenger side near the bell housing, there's a 19mm bolt looking object that sticks up about 1.5-2". That's the dipstick. And let me tell you, it's an absolute bugger to break loose. Thankfully there's enough room to maneuver a box end wrench or short ratchet up on it. The secondary cat is close but there's enough room that you should not have any issues.

Once you get it broken lose, go back in the truck and cycle through the gears with a 2-3 second pause between and then back into park. Now go pull the dipstick plug out and see where the level is at. It's supposed to be between the 4 & 5 mark on the stick. If it's good then tighten the plug back down. The torque specs for the plug is 52 lb.ft. If it's low then it's your call if you want to add fluid or take it in so the dealer can do it.

B&M Transmissions has a locking dipstick for F-150s that can be installed with an adaptor for a couple hundred bucks. I am not doing that. I was told by the dealer that the trans level is to spec. If I don't seen any signs of a leak and it fails, I will just emphasize that I think it was a dumb idea.

My Ranger is scheduled to have the TSB done next week. I hope I can look forward to a shudder free ride.

I noticed my truck has a I wanna say half inch stainless (or at least appears to be)plate below the leaf. Just remembered seeing this quickly when I picked her up and wonder if the 2019 has this?

My 2019 has a stainless shim, but not a half inch shim. More like a 16th of an inch.

A few days ago (while driving in Mexico, of course) was the first time my Ranger was up above 100 mph. At 105 there is a pronounced hum/vibration that feels like it is coming from the drive train. So I have a mild shudder when starting from a stop between 8-12 mph, and a pretty strong vibration/hum that comes to say hi above 100 mph.

Just for the gee-whiz file, at this point.

At least your vibration is above the normal cruising speed range. I get it right around 75 mph.

I initially said the shudder on my truck did not improve after the TSB. After driving the truck a little more, I now feel I was wrong. I believe the TSB did help some, but the shudder is still there to a smaller degree. So I changed my vote.
