Was going through some old pictures and came across this one of the vehicle I traded in 5 months ago. It served me well and the nostalgic side of me misses it, but the practical side of me is sure glad to have the modern upgrade!

Technically, my 2019 Lariat replaced a 2013 Impala and that is only because I took over driving the Impala when I bought my bride a new Sonata in 2018. So actuality, the Ranger is to replace the 2002 Sport Trac I had for over 15 years. When I took over the Impala, I couldn't see keeping a third vehicle just because I liked the 'Trac.

Lost cyl #5 on my 2001 ranger, after a few weeks of DDing my 03 cobra and my 1990 f350 I remembered that while I like both, neither of them are anything I want to daily, so I bought my 19 on the corona special.

Glad to see I'm not the only one switching from a BMW! I bought a 330d xDrive about a year ago for long weekly commutes.. Well things changed and I moved to a more rural part of Germany where I just feld bad for the BMW AND I could put nothing in there! Absolutely no storage room at all, I couldn't even buy a stove for my new place... It was covered in dirt and birdshit all the time and I just felt bad..

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy driving it, it was a blast going down the Autobahn at 230km/h but I definitely enjoy driving the Ranger so far, especially sitting so high and being able to see the landscape around me.

Took her "offroad" for the first time last week and had a blast!

Holy crap! I started this morning off with a walk through the neighborhood, including going back in a section I hardly ever go back in, and look what I found:

It is, without a doubt, my old truck, just a couple blocks over from my house!

We got rid of the Boxster yesterday, I'd only put 300 miles on it in the last 3 years.

I put 24k on the 1190R and 10k on the Supermoto in the same time period.

Now I get to rearrange the garage so I can get the Ranger in there with 3 bikes and one other car. The Ranger is juuuuust a bit longer than the pumpkin was.

my brother had that exact truck but without the camper top. he put 350,000 miles on the girl and still kept going after he sold to the guy down the street. i always hated the color but he liked it. He bought it brand new and sold it in 2005ish for $300

White knuckling through the snow in the 5 speed manual Scion was getting tiresome after 14 years. It was a really solid car, I put all 210,000 miles on it and the only things that ever needed replacing were wear parts, would probably go another 210,000. I can't expect that to ever happen again but I can hope.

I'm loving the Ranger, all the little querks some complain about are completely lost on me, I can't get over how nice this truck is. Hope I'm able to drive it as long as I drove the Scion.

You blocked your plate but still left the other with the visible plate in it.
Doesn't matter anyway. I've never understood why people are so worried about showing their license plate on an internet forum. No one is going to be able to look you by it at all unless they're an LEO and even if they were, I'm 100% certain they don't care.
