You're right on the money.

My purchase details are on page 27 if you're curious. With a median income as high as it is here - dealers are used to people overpaying for things. The dealership I had a terrible experience at (Sound Ford) still has all of their 2019s sitting on the lot, growing moss. Eventually they'll sell them for a reasonable price. Apparently Sound Ford has a very poor reputation as it turns out. Other dealers like Lakewood, Sunset, Titus-Will Tacoma etc - none of them were going even consider selling a Lariat in the mid 30's so if I compare my deal to median price of these new I'm even happier.

Long and short: despite the pre-owned status, I got a higher trim Lariat for even less money and I never had to set foot in a dealership. Pruitt Ford, btw, were terrific to work with even thought I was out of state - even took care of a TSB while things were being processed.
The main thing is that you're happy with your purchase bro, that's all that really matters, sounds as though you got an outstanding deal!
Here in Honolulu, we've just 3 Ford dealers (such is the price of living in Paradise), one of them quoted me 8K above MSRP on a 2019 S/Crew Lariat last June.
Yes, you read that right, eight thousand dollars above MSRP, needless to say, I told the salesperson EXACTLY what they could do with that vehicle...
Last I saw, their inventory showed 32 2019 Rangers in stock, hope they enjoy eating them!

I keep having to relearn things I know...I bought my 2011 f250 (used) and when I downsized I was actually surprised by it's value..I drove it for 2 to 3 years and really didn't lose a ton of value. Fast forward on my 2012 Edge limited 2 to 3 yrs later and it's worth less than half of what I paid... still under 80k miles.really clean. Car's aren't an investment I get it, but I'll never buy a car again. I always tell myself I'll keep it forever, but rarely do. I'm really thinking I'll just wait and see what happens when the 2021 is announced and hopefully then pickup a new or used 2019/2020.

Can someone help me out with a rebate question? I see a lot of people getting between $5-6k off in Ford rebates in this thread. When I look at rebates on the Ford website I only see maybe $2k or so from the cashback + loyalty/conquest cash. Where is the additional Ford rebate money coming from?

Thanks!

On 2019 models there are a few rebates for select and aged inventory totaling 3750. I was looking at used models but actually just bought a new 2019 model this week, with rebates and some tough negotiating I left paying about 7.5K under MSRP.

How much of the 7.5K was rebates ? How much was dealer discount ?
I don't have the paperwork in front of me but the rebates totaled 3750, dealer discount was a decent amount (around 3ish I think). The truck had been transferred between dealers and the previous dealer had swapped some upgraded items (wheels, running boards, ...) which neither of us realized until it was being prepped for pickup so they ended up being tossed in for free. Turned the entire thing from a good deal to a great deal.

I purchased a left over 2019 Lariat . MSRP 44,060, I received a $6,000- discount. I had to work pretty hard to get it.
I'm sure now that I have purchased, I am going to hear that I should have hung in there for $8k off :)

I actually got the lowest trim (XL), its crew cab 4x4, it had pretty much all the add-ons, stx package, fx4, copilot 360, spray-in liner, towing kit, etc
That's pretty much what I am going for.my 06 is an XL I love not having carpet, but. those damn LED headlights on the Lariat are giving me that wants.

You can't worry about that someone will always get a better deal, enjoy the truck and don't look back!

I am surprised that Ford did not equip the Lariat with all LED's for all exterior lamps, no matter though because my 2020 now sports all LED's.
On a side note, a buddy of mine who works in parts at the dealer where I bought my truck warned me about the price for a taillight assy. for a Lariat.
He ordered one for a body shop repair, to the tune of $2,500, yes just for one taillight.
This is the reason why I opted for the LED coverage on my Ford extended warranty policy.
