i appreciate that. I wonder if it was a change to the harness at some point in the build dates? Mine was built late, in august. Do you know when yours was built?
It's possible, mine was built in March.

I don’t remember there being a separate wiring diagram for the lariat model. If I recall correctly, the lariat and the XLT have the same pins in the connector. I will check when I get back to work on Monday (if I remember). It should be something that can in the programing unless something is different. Is your Ranger a 2020? I can see if there is a different wiring diagram when I get back to work on Monday but I will need a reminder (coming back from vacation will be hectic).

So I’m obviously missing something in forscan. I pulled up the wiring diagram and there are 8 wires, my harness has them all including the proper colored dedicated DRL.

I have done this same swap and I adjusted the settings as User79 and the DRL's worked as they should. It's a great swap. I believe I also changed the setting to change to LED, it should be in the 726-26-02 setting.

So thanks to @slowstang and @User79 for the posts with the as-built info I was able to get my DRLs functioning just like a lariat. I think it should be added to the original post for anyone else so they don’t have to dig through pages of posts. If someone does the swap, and wants the lights to perform as a lariat you want to change the following as built info.

726-26-02 needs the * number to be a 0 for factory LED (it’s 1 for halogen and 2 for other) xxxx xxx* xxxx

726-45-01 * numbers changed to 7F to enable all DRL options xxxx **xx xxxx

726-50-01 change the only 4 numbers to 108E which chooses the dedicated DRL

so glad I did the changes. I like the look and function better than the low beams.

Glad it worked out for you. I like the truck, I’m pretty sure I saw it on instagram.

This is a great mod! I was pretty disappointed when I realized only Lariats got LED DRLs/headlights.
I will keep this on my future list, need to start a Lariat Headlamp Upgrade savings account!

Picked up a pair of Lariat LEDs on eBay last night for just over $800 total for the pair. They arrive on Monday. Hope to have them installed in about 10 days.

The Lariat lights are pretty darn sweet but it didn’t really hit me how much difference of a look they give to the truck until I saw the attached pic from automotive performance group. The Lariat lights provide a more sleeker and updated look. I’ll post pics next week as I’m also scheduled to have the A.R.E CX Revo cap installed.

Lights arrived Friday; installed them today, Sunday. The installation was more time consuming than I had anticipated. The LED light bar in my bumper made it more complex. Had to remove the skid plate and inner paneling from the bottom to be able to better access the bolts to the radiator. All in all, took me about 5 hours, but in the end it was all worth it! Love the new look of the front end and the light is a nice crisp, white LED light. Feels like the Ranger became 5 years younger. Very happy with this money spent.
