I would try a hard reset of Sync found in the menus.

If you have any version older than build 23188, you need to update.

Bluetooth has never worked in any of our Ford...only USB...
Sid are you saying your phone does not connect to your truck automatically via Bluetooth for phone calls? Once paired mine connects in both my Ranger and my Fusion. In fact if my phone is in the garage and my truck is in the driveway it connects.

Have you selected your phone as the main "go to" phone in the Sync3 settings? My truck's Bluetooth is pretty bullish. I usually stream music to my garage stereo from my phone when I'm working out there, and as soon as I start the truck, it disconnects from the garage stereo and pairs to the truck.

Brad,
I had the same problem yesterday after deleting my FordPass App then doing a master reset. Then updated to the latest Sync version 3.4.23188 and afterwards reinstalling and activating the App. Pairing my galaxy to the system has always been problematic. I've always had to continually turn the bluetooth button on and off on the phone to get the phone pair mode to appear which happens only intermittedly after a number of on and off tries, sometimes after 3 or more times. When the pair mode eventually appears on the phone you have to press it immediately because it will not stay on for very long. Hope this helps.

It tells me that it's connected when I fire up truck...but I can't make calls or use Carplay until I connect the USB...not sure what good is Bluetooth connection if it doesn't do anything without the cable...maybe I'm just too lazy to follow up since I prefer to connect USB to keep charge constant while I'm driving...

Sid, I have Android and I haven't had to pair mine for a while. I think there is a point in the pairing when you tell the phone what features to allow. I think you need to tell it to let it share the calling and data.

I do not have a 2024. Anyway, the 2024s have Sync 4.
Ahh wrong on both counts, I thought that was a 24 in your avatar sorry and the sync 3 I must be thinking of the Maverick..
