Bluetooth, sync, etc.

So when I had my 2017 F150, I could get text notifications without it being hooked to CarPlay. If a text came in I would get a notification on the home screen, and on my phone of course.

Now with the 19 Ranger, the only way I get a notification besides my phone showing it, is if I’m hooked up to CarPlay. I don’t use Carplay much, basically only if I’m charging the phone or need the navigation.

I’ve tried connecting the Bluetooth to “Ford Ranger” but it will only connect to sync.
Anyone have any ideas?

A minor issue, but it bugs me that I can’t do what I was able to do on the F150, and can’t figure out how to on the Ranger.

Weird. I get messages either through Sync or Android Auto.

Might be setting in the Sync menu. I'd start by looking there.

I’ve tried about everything I know to do to get it to connect. Either it isn’t possible or I’m just missing something very simple..

Make sure that ‘Show Notifications’ is enabled in the Bluetooth connection for the Ranger. Tap the blue ‘i’ to access the settings.

that did it! I knew it had to be something simple I was missing!
as luck would have it my girlfriend texted me while I was in the truck checking it out and it worked like it did before.
