Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
I suspect switches possibly got wet (rain) - its most likely in the switch assembly (Drivers Door)
Ok. But, truck hasn’t been in rain in at least a month. And no it hasn’t been washed. Though it needs it badly right now. Thoughts?

The only logical possibilities are the (Switch Assembly) is internally shorting power or the wiring harness is damaged (where is runs into the door)

Note: C210 /C213 / C214 - feed wiring into the door (Rubber Boot)

LH Kick Panel Locations.webp

LF Door Wiring.webp

With Engine Running:

You may try to duplicate the issue by gently (shake/ bend/twist) this short harness section to see if any auto movement is noted. (You want to simulate what happens when you open and close the door)
Also check loss of operation with the switch assembly while doing this:

NOTE: The window motor circuit has a thermal CB, so if T/Shooting and continuously operating the circuit Up/Down in succession it will break the circuit (until) the CB cools and resets.
So don't get tripped up on that operational design

I 2nd the battery pull reset. The master drivers switch can get confused.
You can also pull the Window fuse or pop the drivers switch and unplug and plug back in.

Worth a try ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ

Ok, here goes a weird one. Not really worried about it, but would love some input from the group if you have any answers.

BTW, searched the forum and only found one similar, but old thread. And while it was pretty humorous it contained zero answers.

Ok, on the road for work this week. Yesterday preparing to leave the hotel and go to my work location, I open the rear door, driver side and throw my computer bag in the back seat. Truck is not running and has been sitting all night. I get in, start it and as I pull out I slam on the brakes. The rear driver side window is now fully open! What?!?! I sit there a few seconds in total confusion, ā€œdid someone break in?ā€ Etc., but no. That window was up when I opened the door to throw my bag in the back. I closed the window and really didn’t think anymore about it.

This morning, I leave at O-dark:30 for my drive home. About 3 hours into the drive I pass a drive through coffee joint so I swing in and grab a fresh cup. Pull around back, park, leave engine running, driver door open, while I throw out remnants of coffee #1 and pour coffee #2 into my travel mug. Get back in the truck… and the drivers window is fully open. Seriously?

So there you have it folks. Truck has run perfectly this week. Half way back home now. Posting this inquiry while I eat lunch. Got another 250-ish miles to go. (And looking forward to it. :like:) But what the heck is up with this window thing?!?!?!?
" To open all the windows on a Ford Ranger, press the unlock button on your key fob twice, and then hold it down on the second press. To close all the windows, press the lock button twice, and then hold it down on the second press. "

If yours does this, you must have an add-on device. My stock 2019 doesn't have these functions.

I got that from Google AI...no idea if actually works. It does work on my wife's Pilot but that is Honda. I just found that when looking for an answer for the originator. I realized after posting it was not a good explanation. I have no add-on for locks, but I do have a Lariat so maybe a difference between levels?

Mine is a Lariat also. Have you tried this on your truck?

Our N.A. Rangers do not have this option, some ROW have it though. It requires a separate module that was not offered.
This issue has nothing to do with battery resets etc- it’s a power bypassing the switch issue

My 2014 Ford Fusion did this, including the sun roof.
