When Do You Fill Up?

In Utah I fill up whenever I am between 1/2 and 1/4. I have a preferred gas station near where I get groceries and so I just do it when it is convienent. I also libe up a road that can spontaneously become jammed with traffic and turn a 20 minute ride into 3hrs plus. It's good to have reserve fuel just in case. Back in Maine I run it until the light comes on almost every tank. Had it down to 9 miles remaining before. I drive by the gas station every day to and from work, so I am not as worried about getting caught in a pinch.

I fill Up at 1/2 a tank usually.
I have only used premium fuel and use a Circle K for gas. It partnered with Shell, but now they took the Shell signs down.

Usually when my dash says 10-25 miles left. There’s a bit of a safety net built into that range and I’ll admit I’ve gotten to it saying just 2 miles left but I try to avoid pushing it too close. No reason to fill up before that for me though, there’s a ton of gas stations most of where I go.

I’m an old person and we have it in our heads that it is empty at a half a tank. I didn’t know my 06 Ranger had a low fuel light till I lent it to my son for a weekend.

1/2 tank ish. I have the Phillips 66 app on the phone. Saved 10 cents a gallon at Phillips, conoco, 76 and gulf

Once or twice a week, depending on what I'm doing. But, almost always when the light comes on.

I run my Ranger and escape both close to empty before filling up, but I have never run out of gas.

What drives me nuts is every now and then when my son or daughter in law visit I have to move their cars in the driveway and I look at the gas gauge and it’s on fumes.
