I got my step-father's 1991 Ranger as a high school graduation present. Unfortunately, I only got to drive it for a couple of weeks because some jerk ran a red light and totaled it. My parents "replaced" it with a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass. I am almost ready to forgive them. Almost.

I use to be a pure Chevy guy, and that is all I bought. Chevy started to change in quality and care for their customer at a corporate level. Bit by bit they demonstrated that they no longer had their customers best interest. For example, when they brought out the 3 cylinder for the Colorado, and the community complained, the VP publicly told them to go buy something else.

The final straw came with Chevy's ignition switch that killed 124 people. Thier response was don't use a key chain on your keys.

I admired Ford's handling themselves during the recession. The way they lead the pack with the muscle car resurgence with the Mustang. Where Dodge and Chevy just didn't care anymore.

Since then I have owned 4 Fords. All have been great cars. One of them was an Escape that saved my life from a drunk that ran a red light going over 70 mph in 35 mph road. So, I bought another Escape to drive my family. Now, I got my truck. It only has been a week, but I can't stop smiling.

Long story, sorry. I just very much a Ford guy now.
I bought mine back before Christmas and I'm still smiling haha

1959 Ford Fairlane, dark tinted windows all the way around, jacked up rear end, cherry bomb muffler, AM radio with a rear speaker attached to a tremolo amp. Paid 500 bucks for it in 1970. It got about 100 miles per quart of oil. My friends called it "The Pachuco Flyer"
A real chick magnet

I've had a lot of vehicles since I got my license in 1985, my 2020 Ranger is I believe 6th or 7th truck. For a bit of fun, what was your first daily driver, and then your first Ford daily driver? My first DD was an 81 Dodge Omini 024, my first Ford was a 72 Gran Torino I had in the early 90's.

Mine first ride was a ‘77 Ford Pinto Wagon with 2.3l. What a change from that (although it was bulletproof)!
