1997 Ranger XLT 4x4 w/ 4.0L V6 5sp Manual and my first new car as well. Politely lifted, and modified the heck out of the stereo with 3 JL 10's in the back. Sorry no pics of 'em. The seats were the most comfortable we have EVER had in a vehicle. It was a great truck, not sure why I was stupid enough to get rid of it.

Hmm yes, it's why I have drinking problems to this day.

On a serious note, My first car was a 98 Grand am but barely drove it. First truck, among many others was a late 90's Chevy S10.

My grand father had an S10 extreme and pretty much set in stone my love for smaller trucks.

Mine was a '70 Challenger with a 383 and dual quads. I bought it as a project car at 15 and my best friends brother helped me put it together. He had two Challengers one street car and on drag car and a bunch of spare parts. It was fun building it and I learned a lot about cars from him. Looking back I wish I would've kept it but it was a never ending project and a money pit and I was a broke teen. Seems to be my luck everything's a money pit. lol

Well it wasn't pretty, and it it was old when I bought it when I was 15, but my '04 Elantra was rock solid. And very easy to work on. Drove it for 7 years and put 50,000 miles on it. Sometimes I miss not having a car payment right now, but I really like having a truck now with heated seats and ACC.

Goldbug the Elantra. I frequently gave myself the award for "The Worst Paint-job In The Parking Lot" award lol.

Take that back right now Mike!! You never sell or take you're damper off. I'd rather be broke and have to stand in a bread and cheese line than do that!

It was a raging piece of shit (not in general... mine) but I thought it was awesome with the flip forward hood and being a sports car........ Yeah. Probably did the 1/4 I like 17.5 seconds with a tail wind and a perfect launch.

The thing I regret getting rid of for what I sold it for: 95 Nissan Pickup. That said.. kid on the way meant the 87 LTD I got made more sense. That was a great car unless you like any sort of performance.

My first Ranger experience was when I drove a 1982½ Ranger in 1980.

Best,

91 ranger shortbox. Even rigged up a glasspack exhaust stack complete with rain flapper, ended up burning to the ground when a feed bag got too close to said stack
