I don't believe I insulted anyone in my original post. Nor did I insult anyone during my time participating in this forum soliciting solutions and sharing experiences in the past few months. You are welcome to look up all my posts. Until asked, I didn't even post what the replacement truck...
I agree with your assessment of the Silverado. However I found the GMC to be a decent looking version of the truck. This one was manufactured in June 2021. Due to the chip shortage, the Active Fuel Management and Dynamic Fuel Management is not on this truck. That's just fine with me and less...
Sorry I didn't feel the urge to spend money fixing a handling problem on a new truck after putting only 10K miles on it. I tried to like it but it just wasn't working out. That and my wife hated it. Used prices are up right now so we traded. I tried to find an F150, but choices were slim and...
Just couldn't get used to the Ranger busy ride. Always correcting and feeling like the suspension was bouncing all the time. Good luck to everyone and hope you enjoy your Ranger experiences. I have moved on now. 73's
Sold my 2020 Ford Ranger after only 8 months and have these items left for your benefit. Weathertech floor mats for the new Ford Ranger. This is the complete front and rear set of mats. These mats are only 8 months old and still like new. The console storage tray and the FORD hitch receiver...
I have had thoughts along these same lines. The rear end really flexes the leaf springs during acceleration more than I would have expected or have seen before on other vehicles.
My Ranger vibrates a great deal and enough I have been spending the effort to figure it out. I was beneath my Ranger this weekend looking at the rear end drive train. Man the light springs holding the rear axle let the rear end flex so easy. I was getting groceries out and noticed how just a...
Kind of a unique query.... Has anyone possibly added a belt driven air compressor to their new Ranger? My last P/U had an aftermarket bracket and a belt driven air compressor. There was a modified welding gas cylinder bracketed to the frame beneath the bed for compressed air storage. The air...
My Truxedo is working well. It's just that the piece across behind the cab doesn't attach to anything. It only relies on the two side rails to hold it down. Kinda cheaply done IMO. But it does work and so far doesn't leak! If I get a few years out of it I will be happy for the cost of it...
I ordered the Truxedo cover to save a few bucks. It works, but in the end I wish I had bought the Weathertech cover instead. The weathertech hardware is made a lot better.
I am really interested in hearing about this and how/why you made the choice of shocks. There are times my 2020 Ranger feels out of control on bumps in the road. It reminds me of an old car when the shocks are completely worn out. I have thought of maybe a heavier duty set of shocks. I need...
Be careful what you choose! My 2020 Ranger came with Bridgestone 18 inch tires. The bigger tires accentuate the rough road surfaces. I cut one tire and found out that tire is no longer available. Bridgestone doesn't make that tire anymore. I had to either put 2 or 4 on it to make everything...
My Ranger has ~7500 miles and never reset the #1 MPG meter. Currently it reads 21.2 since the truck was new. I am sure a lot depends on the kind of driving you would do what that average would be.
I am not sure I understand what you are saying.
They put the wheels themselves on the machine to check for balance and any run out. Then the tires were mounted onto the wheels and balanced. Then they did the road force balancing. All turned out well. How would you find a bad wheel/rim...
