Would like to improve the ride some. What shocks should I consider? Not looking for a limo ride but better than stock.

Thanks

Eibach on the rears only is the quickest and cheapest improvement. The full kits from Fox and Icon are better, but significant more expensive. Replacing the mono-leafs in the rear with a multi leaf pack like the tremor also helps a lot.

Quality of the ride = $$ spent. King is the king, but not for the average truck. Most folks don't know about Koni......

Oops sorry no Koni for the Ranger. Whatever you do don't buy any Rancho trash.

The best $200 you can spend to improve your ride is to replace the rear shocks with Bilstein or Eibachs.

You can spend more and get Fox which will also improve it, but I believe the Fox shocks require rebuilding every 30-50k miles to maintain ride quality. Rebuild is around $80.

The Bilsteins and Eibachs are Lifetime warranty.

These links are all to @Stage3Motorsports who is a vendor here.

All my dealings with them have been top notch.

HERE is a link to the Bilsteins ($220 pr) and HERE is a link to the Eibachs ($240 pr).

The Fox rears are HERE but significantly more expensive at $360 pr.

30 minutes in your driveway and you're done.

I have Bilsteins in the front set at 1.8 and the rear Bilsteins combined with Tremor leaf springs.

My truck rides and drives light years better than stock.

I liked the Eibach rears so much, I opted to do the fronts as well. Such a huge improvement. Talking Eibach Pro Truck. You can also set the fronts from no lift to 3" lift. I went with 1.5" and could not be happier.

@Muscleford

As stated, pretty much anything will be a improvement.

However to find tune, how are you using your truck, and what are your expectations?

A good Fox, Bilstein, or Eibach set will run you about $1100 to $1200. Reusing your factory springs you can save some money by going to a Bilstein 5100 or Eibach Stage 1.
