Hmmm I wonder if 1.72 quarts makes enough difference to warrant the added cost and lower pan, closer to rocks etc.? PPE makes a shallow one too I think. The drain plug is the only reason I need one.Theoretically less wear and lower temps plus more protection than the plastic one.
But after reading @Grumpaw with his extensive towing experience and precise temperature monitoring, I'm leaning away from doing this one.
It's a beuatiful cover and a drain plug is a big win, but transmission's are now supposed to run a lot more miles than days gone by.
I'm never buying another vehicle with no transmission drain plug!
