Theoretically less wear and lower temps plus more protection than the plastic one.

But after reading @Grumpaw with his extensive towing experience and precise temperature monitoring, I'm leaning away from doing this one.

It's a beuatiful cover and a drain plug is a big win, but transmission's are now supposed to run a lot more miles than days gone by.
Hmmm I wonder if 1.72 quarts makes enough difference to warrant the added cost and lower pan, closer to rocks etc.? PPE makes a shallow one too I think. The drain plug is the only reason I need one.
I'm never buying another vehicle with no transmission drain plug!

That will really narrow your search and make life easier.

People who have it say it reduces transmission temps. I don't off road so rocks don't concern me. More looking at transmission longevity as I tow with mine and yes the drain plug is a plus.

Got some LED lights. Side marker lights, front blinker, mirror lights and license plate lights. Oh and a tailgate damper. Not sure of that means I have joined the darkside or the lightside.

That's all well and good, but you'll eventually have to have someone feed them to you, as the atrophy in your arms will make it all but impossible to do it yourself.
Yeah, you're on the dark side now for sure!
Better put the shirt Dave's gonna send you on quickly, while you can still dress yourself!

Finally getting around to upgrading the puddle lights to LED. A pair of lights came in from Daytime Brightlites. Ordered from them instead of the Amazon lights that seem to be hit or miss on quality.
