I got a nice email from the GM of US Jack today. They're going to replace the jack and send me a shipping label so I can send them the old one back. Glad to see there's still some companies that care about their customers! :like:
Thanks for letting me know about US Jack. I'm looking for US-made jack stands like my 30-year old Lincolns and can't find any. Some have the upper casting made in the US, but the base is from China.

Since I want these for my daughter to help her restore the old FJ40, I only want the best. Kate would be upset if we had to nickname our daughter "Pancake" because of an accident.

This forum and the Graphene Cult Leader (not to name names, but @AzScorpion may know to whom I am alluding, just sayin') have led me down a path of taking pride in the appearance of my Ranger. Gone are my carefree days of just having a vehicle that I simply use. Now an amazing shine is a part of who I am and a "reflection" of my character.

The only thing deeper than my new-found vanity is the reflection from Soupie's race red Graphene-enhanced exterior (I may be more concerned about keeping it shiny outside, but the Husky floor mats are still a muddy disaster, as they should be!). =D

My metro-conversion therapy is nearly complete, having received this special 75th anniversary edition of a super, duper, wax on/'wax off stuff.

What is that you have there?

? I'm going out on a limb that you overworked yourself at the dump and made a mistake not ordering from 303. ? I'm just messing with you and will give you a pass this time. :giggle: I'll be interested to see how you like it.

It was a little more pricey but I wanted a true 100% made in the USA jack. Just to help you spend a little more money these accessories are great for bottle jacks. ?

Oh don't worry. Kate was out of her tire dressing so I suggested she use 303 Aerospace Protectant and she liked the results better!

Kate is more the experimenter, she used some type of SiO2 stuff as a drying agent on Saturday (boggles my mind to use a wet thing to dry, but from what I see, Graphene Speed Detailer is ideal for drying too).

If ... I get a chance (and the motivation), I'd like to do another Graphene layer before winter.

The wax is nostalgic, for the most part, but does seem to have an amazing shine (it also blew me away that some waxes run $300 and $400(!!!) - too rich for this XL dump truck driver.).

I first found 303 at a car show back in 2014 when the gentleman next to me handed me a bottle of 303 Aerospace Protectant and told me to use that on my tires instead of something that was going to sling everywhere. I love how it makes the tires look clean and new.

It's good stuff. I learned of it two years ago for inflatable kayaks. I had never heard of anything like it and , at first, I thought that this was just a fancy version of Armor All.

Boy was I wrong. It's really good and it's nice to hear about your success with it - thanks! =)

Obviously, here's something I needed even though I didn't ever think of getting one.

By the time I'm done adding all the deleted items to my XL, I could have bought a Lariat! =D

Not today (yesterday), and not in the mail, but local pickup deal on a Ranger Raptor grill. $75 and a trip to the north side of Denver later

Set of Sealight LED lowbeams and Alla Lighting switchback turn signals arrived from the Zon yesterday. Will need to use FORScan to disable the hyperblink but that is a 5 minute job

I am the testing fiend at my house. I'm also the only one that cars that are vehicles are clean... LOL

I've been using the jescar tire and rubber the last couple of months. Uses very little product and it has lasted >3 weeks on her car...

Did you apply the wax by hand or machine? How difficult was it to wipe off?

Ask what the drying aide was, we use wet coat on some of our detail jobs where the customer just want beads but doesn't want to spend money to get them... LOL

@subquark we use this for machine applying a basic coating - https://www.autogeek.net/jescar-ultra-lock-plus.html

This is the tire one https://www.autogeek.net/jescar-tire-trim-protectant.html

I apply the tire one let it sit while I do the other tires and come back with a microfiber and wipe any excess off.

LOL, the first link I hit for Jescar was $130!!! Then I saw it was 128 ounces. I'll order some for Kate as a surprise - like you, she loves to keep her car clean, it's something that relaxes her.

The "drying" spray she uses (she applies it to a microfiber, then dries with it) is Technician's Choice TEC582 Ceramic Detail Spray.

https://www.amazon.com/Technicians-Choice-TEC582-Ceramic-Detail/dp/B07N8GBHTS

I think she saw it on this IMJoshV YouTube video:

BUT ... I think the 303 Speed Detailer can be used similarly for a great graphene shine and @AzScorpion would be the expert on that one. =)

And for the Turtle wax? We have yet to use it but it looks like it's easy to polish off. From the videos it looks like it takes a few minutes to haze (flash?) and then hand buff it. It actually looked easier to buff then the 303 Graphene we use (which is pretty much nothing to hand buff).
