subquark,

Worth every penny....especially where I live. The city uses hundreds of tons of red salt every winter and the state uses salt brine. 75% of the vehicles around here have rotted wheel well openings.

I recently traded in my 2012 Ford Escape that had 24K miles on it because of cancer starting to show on the left rear wheel well. :(
Glad to hear it works well for a very demanding situation.

Any tips on using it?

I suppose I'd only do it when It'll stay above freezing for a few hours (I park outside). My wife could possibly use it a bit colder, she parks in the garage but it's not heated or insulated, but we could use a space heater on days right around freezing (I'd dread that electricity bill!).

No special tricks to using it. I use mine with a 3000 PSI gas pressure washer. Several of the car washes here in town also have undercarriage washing systems. I go through those about once a week in the winter months.

I'll have to check out our car washes,I never thought about that.

Even though New England has a decent winter, I bet yours is more brutal. I live on the Dead last and the Atlantic moderates Portsmouth temperatures quite a bit.

But I did grow up in the country in Quebec where we once had a three week power failure during the winter!

Check to make sure your local carwash does not recycle water as some do. No need to get a pressure saltwater bath. in the winter.

What size are yours? I have some I bought for mine that are a bit looser in the holes than I hoped they would be. They're still in, but had just hoped for a tighter fit.

Does anyone know if 3/4 marker lights will work on the rocker panel holes? Mine are actually sealed, but since I have not used running boards in some time I've considered adding ground illumination tied to the factory courtesy lighting when you open door or use keyfob.

Is that for your spare?
BING BING BING... We have a winner! As everyone knows our spare tires are mounted with the valve stem up. This possess a problem if you want to check tire pressure. On more than one adventure it has been necessary to utilize the spare (rock pinches etc.) so I never leave home for an adventure without checking spare. I have thought about adding chain and turning spare over, but of course that exposes the valve stem so this will be my attempted solution. Haven't mounted it yet so ???? (And yes I carry a small compressor and tools etc.) All input/suggestions are welcome (well most all ?). Thanks for playing!
