That is true, they probably took pity on me because I came from the swampiest state there is.... Florida.

While shoveling the slush tomorrow I will beg my neighbor to vouch for my ruggedness so I can finally get the kit.
I disputed your acceptance.

My neighbor is life long Colorado resident, and he is older than you, probably by a few decades. 😂

He gets more votes than you.

silly excuse for a jack the came with the Ranger
Can't argue that. really don't like the stupid factory provided cheap ass scissor jacks. They get the job done, but they are a joke.
At home i use my floor jack for everything. Wish I could magically carry it everywhere.

A friend of mine has one of the honda Ridgeline. She got a flat and tried to changed the tire with the supplied jack, it doesn't go high enough to install a fully inflated tire on the truck.... 😂 The dealer said, oh yeah we know that it's by design... 😂 😂 😂 WTF.

Man, not that it would accomplish squat, but I'd go skizzoid on Honda for that stunt. That is nuts.

Freaking stupid Accord with the trunk lid delete option is a joke in general. But for a manufacturers to pull that stunt with a jack? Inexcusable. Imagine being on a road trip, 100's of miles from home, flat tire in the middle of no where at about 11pm. Nah. I wouldn't be pissed.

Early birthday present to myself as it seemed to be at a good price ($290). Sunex makes this 3-ton aluminium floor jack and brands it as Sunex, NOS, and Arcan.

Here are the current Amazon prices:

57# and handles on each side

lifts pretty high

looks and feels solid, but a crappy pad

look! "low profile" (fits under Soupie's chin chain - FTW!

addressing that bed rake engineering flaw - this is more like it! easy loading bed, it all rolls forward for denser dump run packing!

just tall enough, I can barely look in! =p
20240308_152149.jpg

pinch-weld pad with okay reviews (and cheap enough at $10)

should pop on easily

yep, it's a floor jack - now we're one thing closer to getting lots of pics of my nuts! Lug nut swap coming soon! Lucky You!

And this got here an hour later!

A "CTEK Magnetic Connection Kit" - a magnetic connector that I may put under the rear bumper. Not sure yet but I've been backing in against the garage door lately after some tweeker rifled my neighbors F150 center console last week.

My current connector is in the front bumper. I could leave that and also have this one. Pretty pricey but I couldn't find magnetic connectors I was confident with.

  • (1) Adapter cable for Battery Tender, CTEK, or NOCO battery maintainer
  • (1) Magnetic receiver
  • (1) Spring-loaded, hinged cover for the receiver
  • (±9-feet) Cable with integrated in-line fuse holder & 15A fuse
  • (±9-feet) Braided cable loom
  • (1) In-line fuse holder (optional but recommended)
  • (2) Heat Shrink Butt-Connectors (1 to install the optional second fuse holder + 1 spare)
  • (4) Spade connectors (2 for the wire to connect to the plug + 2 spares)

Designed for the Lotus Evora, so if I ever trade Soupie in, I'll be sure to take this part off. =p

My 1-piece lug nuts came in (cheaper at Jegs but I already have an account at Summit) along with a new clay mitt and detailer.

303 Graphene is out for delivery (per Amazon), so no photo.

I wasn't going to go the Graphene route but my wife wants to put it on the Corvette before the National Corvette Caravan to Bowling Green this summer. I figure the test vehicle should be the Ranger.

Detailing is still new to me but AZScorpion turned me onto graphene. Before that, it had been 30 years since I waxed a car.

I like graphene because it's economical and seems to give similar protection to ceramic. And easy to do, too! =)

It seems to me that the graphene lasts a long time. I did two coats last summer and my Ranger cleans up easier with the two soap canon rinses I've done since summer. Just soap and rince, no rubbing and Race Red Soupie looks as shiny as new.

The water still beads nicely and I can really see a difference between my car and my wife's which didn't get any graphene last summer.

Anyway, just my two cents with not much experience in detailing.

Share pics and good luck! =)

If you want to hang out, you've gotta take her out, Graphene ..
If you want to get down, down on the ground, Graphene ..
She don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie
Graphene ..
