What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Went to Tractor Supply to fill up the propane bottle as I ran out yesterday at lunchtime . Good thing I had the smoker as a backup which is always a good backup.

Amazingly I didn’t even come close to the GVW and there was no sag what so ever. The right side was a little more lopsided than usual though.

Drove the Ranger to meet a friend at a pull off by Little River. Then we took Foothills Parkway over to the Dragon and up to Fontana Lake. Parked the vehicles and caught our boat shuttle at Fontana Marina. Shuttle dropped us at Hazel Creek for 3 days and 2 nights hiking/camping/fly fishing one of the most remote areas of GSMNP. Great trip!

Took my wife camping the last four days. Ranger pulled like a champ again! Great time as always.

Over the winter we had some horrific wind storms again and the the trees took a BIG hit. Sad to see places we have camped in for 26 years forever changed in a heartbeat.

Strange......I would have thought the tank on one side and the damper on the other....figured the damper would even everything out !!!!

I agree there has been lots of tree fall this year.

The pictures don't do justice to the mess. My next big fear is when these trees dry out the next batch of catastrophic forest fires will be epic. Our ice storm of November '96 up here did the same thing. The USFS can't clean up everything but some places that are constantly accessed need to be looked at or they will be decimated. Salvage logging has to be looked at on a large scale and damn the environmental loonies!

Worked great on my damper and really gave it a "boost"!

It helped the one on the truck too.

Went to the casino last night for their fireworks show and they had a bunch of food trucks and a band playing in the courtyard. The band was pretty good and the fireworks were decent but not as good as we thought they’d be. We met up with some friends who are at most of the shows we go to there while at dinner and it was a good night out.

I wish they’d have turned off some of the lights inside the courtyard during the fireworks as they cast a glare taking pictures.

Also got to see Spider Man and Wonder Woman. lol
