Drove up to the GSMNP near the house for a couple hours afternoon. Only caught one wild rainbow while fly fishing, but the vibrant green in the park right now is stunning!

Today I installed Icons bump stop kit. Overall the installation wasn’t too difficult. I’ve heard snapping the bolt is fairly common when installing but I used some lube and it come out pretty clean. Overall the ride is slightly better and I should have gained a little more travel out back.

Drove my 2019 Ranger Lariat with 39,500 miles on it to my local dealer for an appraisal, they are giving me $28k trade in for my 2025 Ranger Raptor. I also received my build date and vin # for the RR this morning.

Nice! Sounds like a great offer on the 2019. I was assisting my daughter purchase a new Maverick earlier this week and the salesman asked if I wanted to trade my Ranger. I said sure, offer me more than I paid for it. He scoffed. I'm about the same mileage as you and that trade in offer isn't far off what I paid. I'd never trade though. Once mine is dead my next purchase will be something older.

We where looking forward to having the 19 paid off by Oct, then a buddy got me looking at the 25 RR's and the rest is history... Last summer I bought a 360' camera system and had planned to be installing it all about now, then I saw the 360' camera on my step sons new Escape I helped him buy. I got to thinking do i really wanna take the interior apart again! NOT. I did it once to install sound deadening, run wires for lights etc, install speakers, all without drilling holes. I would have to drill a few small holes to run the video cables plus a dash mounted monitor. I'm OK with sound deadening again and speakers as my budget allows on the RR but at least I don't have to be a contortionist under the dash upside down again, I have enough back problems LOL.

Ford has a 15% off all accessories sale right now, and they emailed us a 20% off offer (20 total) so I was going to add some things vs have the dealer buy and install. At first the sales manager said they can't beat that offer but when he realized I wanna roll it into the loan he got approval to sell all of the items I want at dealer cost and the prices including install on all of it was almost at the 15% off cost from Ford.com and I would've had to either install it all myself or pay to have it installed. Working smarter not harder!

Changed the lube in the transfer case today. I changed the axles and transfer case at 30k and now at 90k. The axles drained out pretty clean but the t-case lube was black.
Redline D6 in the t-case.
Was going to do them all last Saturday but by the time I got the axles done it started raining.

Loaded all of my tree gear to Ranger and went and cut down some trees from other people's yards.

Cut down 3 trees, limbed them, cut to pieces, transported away and cleaned up the yards. Took me 5-6 hours to do that.

About 3-4 feet wide on ground level, somewhat less on DBH.

Late reply, but… that’s a lot of work for one person. Amazing!??

Today I drove the Ranger home from my camping spot at 4 am when weather became a real issue. My buddy in his Rubicon Wrangler was definitely onboard with getting out early. Friday and Saturday were amazing even though near record heat each day. Area prone to flash flooding and trees go down regularly. Took an hour to go about 11 miles up the very steep and switch back Forest Service Road to get to the pavement. When we hit the black top we encountered two trees across the road in the 28 miles downhill. The area we left has been getting pounded all day. Wouldn’t be surprised if the remaining campers will have to remove a bunch of trees to get up outa the river drainage.

Had a great time and the little adventure getting out!

Taking note of my Rangers 6 year Rangerversairy.? Came home on 4-15-19. 48,400 trouble free miles. Rather than taking a new picture, I just scrolled through my phone and found the most recent Ranger picture. Took this on 4-10, for no reason other than the fact that I still like looking at this awesome truck. The ranger is my favorite truck of all the others I have had. My 2011 Superduty was a close second. I usually keep one 8 to 10 years. There is nothing out there right now that I would trade the Ranger for.
Here is a hot rumor. Fords Louisville Assembly Plant is scheduled to shut down at the end of this year to re-tool for a new product. Ford has not announced what the new product will be, other than to say it will be electrified of some sort. Employees involved are required to sign non disclosure agreements to keep details secret. Latest rumor is that it will be a hybrid Maverick. Maybe by then I will be ready to down size. ?

Been working my Ranger hard lately. Hauling dirt, mulch, compost, wood…you know, truck stuff.? Still runs great, no problems. About 72,000 miles now. A lot of traveling lately to grandson’s track meets. Plan on keeping it until it quits.?

Good to see you here Tracy. Glad you are still enjoying the Ranger as much as me but doing more truck stuff with it. I did haul my skis around a lot this year. ?

Hauling skis sounds good to me!? Yeah, it took this long for my husband to finally let me use ‘Ol Butterscotch as a real truck. Getting to really enjoy it now.❤

6 years on 4/19, 71,000 miles, no major troubles. I bought the 2nd Rnager from our local dealer, was looking for a used F150 but every one I brought home met with extreme disapproval from the boss so I told the salesman to let me try the Ranger. It was all over after that. This is the first of many pics of my truck.
