Had to drive to pick up my wife in donna. She left her car at work. She just couldn't drive out. I live in mcallen, so overall, it became a 3 hour adventure. Used the ranger of course.

Hope you had as much fun as I did.
I was testing out how "waterproof" my new lights are.

Truck stuff, I'm tooo old to keep doing this. The tree was rotten, the stump put up a fight. I need to make friends with a backhoe!!

I'd recommmend a stump grinder. No hassle and removes the stump and roots in few minutes. Even that bigger one which you use for chainsaw park.

I really didn't intend to go that far but reached the point of no return LOL. There's a drainage ditch behind the big stump, probably leave it there to hold the bank.

Chores around the house. 1:00 the Ring Chimes, hand the keys to the Ford service guy. He does a 23k service including, cabin air filter. Chime rings again, I sing the paperwork. He leaves. I drive to Home Depot.
Sedano Ford in La Mesa California. So cramped they had to do this. My second one. Van super equipped. Two days for an appointment.
So painless.

Hit 90k so I changed the oil and took it to my bud's tire shop for a rotate and balance.
Got 3 quarts of Redline axle lube and a quart of their D6 ATF for the transfer case but it started raining before I could get that far. Monsoon season here, apparently.

Your going to want to get a second quart of that D6 ATF. The transfer case takes 1.2 L not 700 ml like the manual says. That's 1.27 qts.

Like @JohnnyO and much of this part of the country We are also in the monsoon. Drove the Ranger to the park where I normally go for bike rides. Won't be any riding here for a while. It will take them a while to clear the trails of debris. Of the 22 miles of paved trails my guess is 8 or so miles are under water right now.

Today I drove the Ranger home from my camping spot at 4 am when weather became a real issue. My buddy in his Rubicon Wrangler was definitely onboard with getting out early. Friday and Saturday were amazing even though near record heat each day. Area prone to flash flooding and trees go down regularly. Took an hour to go about 11 miles up the very steep and switch back Forest Service Road to get to the pavement. When we hit the black top we encountered two trees across the road in the 28 miles downhill. The area we left has been getting pounded all day. Wouldn’t be surprised if the remaining campers will have to remove a bunch of trees to get up outa the river drainage.

Had a great time and the little adventure getting out!
