Wow - and I'm complaining how cold it is when we are at 17 degrees with a wind chill of around 0. I've been keeping the woodstove cranking just to keep it at 68 degrees in the house.
Rob, you can still complain about 17° and a windchill of 0°.......nothing wrong with that! Cold is cold! Keep that fire stoked!

Glad I don't have to work today.
Brrr, stay inside Sailor. When I was a teenager, -40°C was the point where they cancelled the school buses so we didn’t have to wait in the cold. “What, only -39°? Get your butt out there!”

It seems to be really cold everywhere in the west, not so much in central or eastern Canada. I was chatting with Dave earlier and he said it was so cold in Phoenix, he and Annie had to turn on the Fireplace Channel for a while.

Went out in the Ranger and collected some road salt today. There's so much on the highway, you see clouds of salt dust followng the semi's.
The road is so white with salt, the lane keeping won't work at times. That is not a joke. I drifted over the white edge line and hit the rumble strip. The wife asked why the lane assist didn't kick in. So I tried it again and the lines on the dash stayed green. It couldn't tell I was over the white line. And yes it was on as i tried again where the road was a little darker and it worked fine.
Wonder if that warning is in the owners manual? ?

got tired of being inside hiding from the cold wind. took the 4g for a spin as the 5g was resting comfy in the warm garage. no ice or snow yet just cold and windy. the old 4g cranked right up. however, the power steering pump was not so happy with the 14f / - 10 c temp.

Odd, my 4g never had any issues with the cold weather - could always depend on it.

Oh, -14°F = -25°C. Did you mean +14°F?

LOL, you're bringing me back. I was in high school in Quebec in the late '70s.

And I was a farm kid going to a regional high school. My bus ride was an hour each way. The first/last kid on the bus was right at an hour and a half in cabbage land.

I remember waiting in -20° with goggles on. It could be coming down hard and we'd still come in only to get to school and be turned right around. We got stuck several times (the gravel country roads were always last to get plowed) and local Skidoo clubs would come get us - fun times! =)

Here the forecast says 2 inches and they shut it all down!

I thought we were supposed to be tough in New Hampshire, all that Live Free or Die malarkey!

We were all tougher before windchill. Common sense told you it was cold and you needed to cover up.
Now the tidepod eating age group can't figure out not to wear shorts and put on a jacket when it's cold and thier parents aren't any better at making them do it. :headbang:
Dumbasses.
