Are just the rear shocks enough to make a noticeable positive difference in the ride quality?
Yes. Best dollar for dollar improvement outside of maybe a tuner.

I know. No pics it didn't happen. Heres what didn't happen.

Got my uncles f150 stuck in a hole in the field. Used the Ranger to pull it out. Hole big enough to catch the front tire. F150 has street tires. One tire spun to try and get out. Just a small nudge is all it took. Nothing major. Thats what i did that didn't happen. Cause, no pics. :(

I towed my Civic to the mountains. Combine weight with family and weekend supplies was about 9,600lb. Based on destination altitude I had about 2,000lb left, 150lb of that as payload in the truck.

Of course, the driving part of the trip didn't go a smooth as I had hoped. One of the tires developed a leak in the valve stem on the way. So had to swap that out. There was an area I was driving that had exposed tires bits all over, I guess one of those steel belt/rubber clumps caught that valve stem and laid it over to the point of tearing at the base.

Hoping it was caught early enough that the tire was not damaged. It was warm to the touch, but not hot, Still had 20 of the 50psi it should have had, but with the other tire helping it may be good. Will know more once I pop it open to replace the valve stem.

Truck also reported 15.2MPG on the way here, about 2,700ft elevation over home.

Picked up a pallet of sand and furnace refractory, only about 700 lbs, no problem, to deliver to the local industrial museum. They're having a Steel Weekend and we'll melt some iron in a mini-cupola and pour some sand molds. At the foundry where I picked it up, came across another HPR crew! Cool...& a member of the "Ain't Caught Shit Fishing Club" according to his window decal! Probably some of those guys on this forum...

Well, not TODAY, but last weekend my wife and I and a couple good friends went and explored some of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway in Kentucky. We heard this one section was an "easy" trail (Hell Creek Road/Old Fincastle) but it reeeeeeally wasn't lol! I thought I'd show my completely stock ranger going down, then back up a section I had no business being on. -I'd like to say that I only scraped two itty bitty times, and only on the way down. The last pic is of us at the top all happy that we made it with no damage :)
