Don't forget the dump charges on that ad.

My neighbors pay for their hauls with monopoly money...Funny (or not) how pickup owners are expected to be ready to help friends move anytime! I mean, I know that Ranger owners are awesome and very intelligent people, but still ...
After reading the "Make money" or "Invest and Get Rich" thread, @AzScorpion said it takes more than business cards to get rich.
I think we may need to argue that point!
(We may have to come up with another rhyme for the "2 Bucks" part.)

?I love it David!! Maybe I was wrong when I said you just can't print up a bunch of business cards and you're in business. Now the only thing I see that needs changing is the muscle on the left. That has to be a skinny scrawny chicken arm because that's the damper side. ? Otherwise great job!?Funny (or not) how pickup owners are expected to be ready to help friends move anytime! That's a great story Scott and you're right, it is a small world. I was going to say that you should've told him if he was ever interested in selling it you'd love to have it back in the family. But you have a hard enough time driving your Ranger as it is. ? ?This was last Friday.
I got it out and went to McDonalds.Yeah, exciting, I know.
I talked to a nice old man in the parking lot afterwards and we talked about our trucks. He had a big red F350 diesel.
As the conversation went on, he mentioned owning a '65 Mustang Fastback and after he showed me pictures of it in his phone, I realized I had seen it in that very parking lot in the past.
As the conversation goes on, he reveals that he knew my Uncle, who was a somewhat famous drag racer here in Georgia in the 1960s and 1970s. He then tells me who he bought his Fastback from and it turns out he had bought it from MY DAD back in the early 1980s. Dad used to buy/sell/repair/restore and sell parts for 1965-1968 Mustangs back in the 1970s and 1980s. It was one of those "small world" moments that almost never happen to me.
I then went to my Father In-Law's house to help him do some organizing in his basement. He's recovering from a recent surgery and needed some help. He was hunting for a certain rifle that he knew wasn't in his safe and after going through a cabinet full of ammo/accessories, we found it. It was starting to get some rust on it, so I offered to take it home and carefully remove it.
Last month on Father's Day, he gave me a Japanese Arisaka Type 38 rifle that a customer of his had given him a long time ago. (He's a barber)
He had already told me that he was going to give me another rifle last Friday and he did. This time I got a Lee Enfield SMLE chambered in British 303. Made in 1918, all numbers matching.
Then I drove the Ranger home and although it needs a good wash, I put it in the garage. I was too tired to do anything else, lol.
I'll share some pictures of the rifles in the gun thread. I know I saw one somewhere.
Yeah I hear you. Dump was much further away and had to take the highway so I didn't want to take that many chances.i did a load of concrete once with my F150. it was resting on the stops and was obviously overloaded. But i wasn't doing two or three trips. I wanted it done.
Thankfully my dump was only a few km's away. risk vs reward comes to mind.
Thanks. That's a great story Scott and you're right, it is a small world. I was going to say that you should've told him if he was ever interested in selling it you'd love to have it back in the family. But you have a hard enough time driving your Ranger as it is. ? ?
The gun thread you're looking for is here. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Thank you!! Being young, dumb and strong has it's perksHoly cow! You take the leader board for dump runs, I bow to your impressive load!
That's a lot of work and my back aches looking at your pics!
Looks like your truck handled it well (and I love that color, so does Kate who isn't personally fond of my race red). I also like your headache rack, fits really nicely and looks sharp.
You're a good friend and your buddy has greatly benefited from your choice of an awesome truck. =)
Thanks.Me go post pictures in a moment.
I had an A-code 1965 Fastback project car. Dad bought it back in 1975 and I ended up with it in 2008.
Reality kicked in and it was sold back to Dad in...2013?. He put some more parts with it and sold it to the best Classic Ford restorer in the SE USA. He put 60K into that car to make it right and it's beautiful.
I need to have a detached workshop built in the future if I'm ever going to have an old car to mess around with. The lovely wife has asthma and there's no way I could work on an old car in the downstairs workshop.
Thanks, I was wondering how it fits with a tonneau. I worry about busting that back window. I'll look into it and if it will work with a Bak Revolver.Thank you!! Being young, dumb and strong has it's perksIf we were smart, we would've rented a bin but then, you don't get to tell a good story at the end of the day
IF you are interested in the headache rack, it's a backrack with the tonneau cover adapter kit. I really like it.
Lol. She never says a word about it cause she likes the Tremor too. I even let her drive it the other day, in the neighborhood. This should give you some points to get another mod for your truck...![]()

It works really well with my extang trifecta. I love that when I remove the cover for bigger items, my window is protected and that I can secure my load against it. Stuff like 100-200lbs propane tank, atv, large furniture, etc. Thanks, I was wondering how it fits with a tonneau. I worry about busting that back window. Awesome, thank you for the link! They don't list the X4s but they do list the X2 which is identical except for color. BUT ... I'll contact them to make absolutely certain, thanks again! It works really well with my extang trifecta. Here's the combability list for Backrack: TonneauCover_compabilitychart.pdf (backrack.com)
Did you remove the dumpster from your driveway?Dump Run! AKA - battery-charge run!
I shuffle the Ranger in and out of the driveway so much that I get the Ford App "ni ni" going-to-sleep message, so hopefully today's run holds it good until I get the CTEK setup.
Oh, for you eagle-eyed folks, you may notice a Bowflex in there! Apart from the first week I had it 25 years ago, the only workouts I've had with it are moving it from Miami to Beantown, and then to Portsmouth, and again to our current house. Oh, and the last workout today, to the dump!
And who am I foolin'? With the damper, a piece of fine exercise equipment like this is just a way to end up n the emergency room!
