They’ve been better than FedEx too. Locally, medications ordered via my office come up missing via FedEx in certain towns and in certain shipping hubs. One FedEx driver in the southeast should be facing charges for stealing an Infinity 2011 valued at well over 5k once the ATF and others got involved.

Thankfully, FedEx and UPS haven’t screwed up any of my ammo and component orders, and my Dissident Arms KL12 Vepr made it back this week via FedEx fine.

As many issues as we’ve seen with UPS and FedEx, I’d still ship with

After a divi last weekend in Wisconsin and getting a new rifle as a prize, it was time to get some different toys out for a local match today.

Rifle is an IWI Zion15 AR with Vortex UH-1 and Triggertech Diamond trigger.

Shotgun is a Roth Performance built Benelli M2

Pistol is a Phoenix Trinity Honcho with the .40 barrel installed to get ready for a bigger USPSA match next weekend.

A long time ago now, when I was buying in very large volume component wise, I lived in a place with a lot of stairs to the front door.

I always got my orders, but when I was getting 10K projectiles in an order, the UPS guy could get down right surely at times. :)

I’m usually nice and have that stuff delivered to my office to make it easier. The UPS and FedEx drivers would knock on the glass front windows and make steering wheel hand movements. That way I could back my vehicle up to theirs.
I think the biggest shipment was 20k primed 9mm brass, 20k 9mm projectiles, 10k 55gr .223…..and the UPS driver thought it was all lead for my X-ray machine. A week later, he delivered 10 flats of birdshot and a flat of slugs and commented about never messing around near my place. His eyes got BIG when I informed him he’d been delivering way more for years. ?

You shoot off the shelf IMI ammo for competition?

Which flavor?
I zeroed this 16” IWI Zion15 with IMI 55gr. 3072fps in a 16” barrel is zipping pretty well and we shot out to 300 with a nice bit of wind. Normally I run handloaded Hornady 73gr ELD at about 2700fps in an 18” Bartlein barrel.

Gotcha.

I figured handloads were the go to for competition, but it's good to know that one of my go to ammo manufacturers can hold up to at least light competition.

While I was with the sheriff's office training division, we had purchased a couple of G-Sight laser training kits to help push trouble shooters through qualification failures during the ammo shortage. Deputies that fail to qualify after three attempts on a qualification day get 200 rounds of remedial training and then get to shoot another attempt. Instead of just pushing them back out onto the range to potentially blow 200 rounds of much needed training ammo, we started working with them, with the laser, on dry fire drills. And I realized that the G-Sight software doesn't care what laser you point at it, and it'll still work! We found this out when a strobing weapon light recorded ten hits in quick succession. ?

So, I haven't shot anything other than a pellet gun (at poisonous Cane Toads) since I left the S.O. back in February and I have concerns about my skills diminishing! So, I bought a $34 laser and $15 phone tripod from Amazon, and I've pretty much replicated the $130 G-Sight laser kit, and now I can get some meaningful dry fire in.

And those people live there ON PURPOSE!

This is sad.
The worst part is many are moving here! Just about every parking lot in my area is littered with CA plates. Granted not all are bad and a lot are trying to escape but you have to figure a good percent that are coming are nuts.

Hopefully someday, we will be able to moved but for now, I'll stay in the front line. Will just have to visit AZ once a while, ???
It's double standard here in Cali cause, if NRA cannot show or advertise gun related stuff to Cali then Holiwierd folks should stop showing gun violence movies.

This! I loved when the hypocrite Matt Damon went on a rampage a few years ago (I think it was after Sandy Hook) about taking guns away. HELLO you've made millions by shooting and killing people in most of your movies!:headbang: Give back all the money you've made doing this and then MAYBE I'll try and take you serious.
