Took me for a haircut today, couple things of interest:
...the cutters a Jeep person and lives In a log cabin up a dirt road. Was muddy so I'll have some cleanup to do
...tank is getting low and I'm not looking forward to it!
...my version of Phil's Tito has been on all my Rangers, to remind me " slow , steady".
...really bad cell up on this mtn, took a while to upload!
Have a great weekend everyone...Do some Ranger stuff:)

I actually got to drive it for work today! Got to scope out a possible new office, about 30mi round trip. Nice to get out of the house during the day, haven't done that much since going to remote work.
I think the Ranger enjoyed it too since it doesn't get out much except the weekends.

Did some more work around the house, trying to put my mind of the war near the border or my country. However it’s impossible to not think at being positive and safe being a luxury compared to what happens to our neighbors. It feels deeply selfish somehow.

[/QUOTE?Prayers for you, your family and neighbors...it's a tragedy unfolding right before our eyes...my company had a steel plant in Galati, but I never made it there, though I was in Novokuznetz, Siberia. It is hard to believe that this would be happening today. ?

Went to yearly inspection. Ranger failed.

Seems to have a U0401 code in the computer. 1 month to fix and reinspect. Also need to get a paper saying that the speed limiter works as the inspection firm didn't have tools to do that.
Went to service today. Dealer could not find any codes what so ever, has cleared by itself in the meantime. Did the speed limited verification also, dropped the papers to inspection office and now good to go for another year.

Well I got the truck cleaned and polished and fixed some rust spots with some rust solvent and waiting for more saved money to get new fog lights since Bambis sister decided to kiss my bumper and murdered the right side of my fogs

Gassed her up for the first time in a while, planning to go to the local Auto Show (new cars). I had 50 cents off the full price of $4.29 from our food shopping, but they limit you to 25 gallons, so I took along a couple cans. Wow, almost hit $100!
Then I headed out to look at new cars.
What I learned, my Letterman Top 10 List:
1. Ford had the most interesting displays of all, and they give you a $50 Visa card for filling out a test drive form, which paid for about 1/2 the gas :)
2. 2 Rangers (1-Tremor $47k, 1 black STX), a bunch of F150's incl 2 Raptors and a Lightning, 2 Mavericks (1-HPR, yay), 2 Mach e, a Mach 1 ($61k)2 Broncos (1-anti-matter blue w/ black diamond pkg $51k) and a Bronco Sport, Escape, Explorer, probably missed a few.
3. You could scan the QR code in the window to order a Mustang Mach e right there, and I tried it, but I hope I didn't really order one, it would probably come without chips anyway...
4. Tacoma, Frontier, Santa Fe, Colorado all had dampened tailgates, without a visible damper, not sure how they do it, but probably putting DeeZee out of business (Frontier tailgate lowered and a corner step dropped down, nice). Ranger and Maverick, nope...bang... F150 was electric gate.
5. No engine cover on the Rangers and still only 4 bed tie downs.
6. Ford pushed the electric vehicle story, Chevy had ZERO electrics!
7. 2 Jeep Gladiators, and they are still ugly, the silver Rubicon was over $64k.
8. Paid little attention to Infinity, Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Range Rover, Jaguar,VW, Mopar, Mini, Maserati, etc.
9. The local "America on Wheels" museum had a few oldies, incl a '73 Cougar purported to be original unrestored (but lousy repaint job) and the last convertible made by Ford for a long time.
10. I will admit I liked the Corvettes!

Bottom Line: I wouldn't mind going to a Maverick if they straightened out the Hybrid + AWD combo (tho I like the 2.0 Eco in my wife's Escape). I liked the desert brown leather interior, since I'm not moving to AZ, and as more birthdays pass, I'm thinking my hauling heavy dude stuff will be waning. But I think I'm still liking Pepper a while longer.

Pre-spring marks the beginning of home improvement season. I had to take an old toilet and a set of king box springs to the dump.
Also pulled out 30kg of sand and the box of truck stuff that has been accumulating stuff through the winter months.
