What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Today I hauled the shingles we took off yesterday, to the dump. There were 661 lbs of shingles.

No problem with power, but it was noticeable while breaking and you had to break a little sooner than normal.

Today in addition to loading the shingles, we also tied off a safety rope to the Ranger

One other thing, when I was dumping off the shingles, a Dodge Ram pulled up with two guys and a trailer with bags of shingles.

He said is that the new Ford Ranger? I said yes. He said 2020? I said yes. He said it looks great, they did that truck right!

It was good to hear.

Actually we did move the key away from the truck. We joked about my buddy who was on the end of it, being towed down the road by my wife. ?

Well...I went out to the garage to argue with the clock on the dash....It somehow got off correct time zone and thought it was on the East coast. So reset and it showed correct time. Turned off power and closed the door....then reopened the door and turned on the power....Wrong time again? WTF. So reset and this time it seemed to take but I do not trust it. I have auto time zone enabled. Frustrating!

There was a bug with the older Sync clocks not staying set to the time you set it to. The fix was to disconnect the battery for a couple minutes and then it would work correctly. Worth a try if it keeps giving you problems

Last week I hauled a yard of gravel then a quarter yard to finish. Yesterday I installed the light force fascia, redarc tow pro and wired in 2 switches next to the redarc. Coiled the wires up under the steering column by fuse panel so when I buy lights I don't have to tear out the dash.

Whomever at Ford made the choice to be a tight ass and only leave a few inches of wire exposed for the trailer brake to save money, needs fired ? even when I was young and flexible I would've hated to wire it.

Headed up to see the Grandkids, about a 2.5:hr drive. Because of Covid concerns, we have seen very little of them this year, despite having virtually zero cases in our immediate area.

We will stay outside in the unseasonably warm weather and play road hockey and sit around a campfire.

I think the area the bed extender provides, holds enough wood to cook a few marshmallows.

The morning dew on the truck, makes the color look almost charcoal.

I used it for what I bought it for - driving the crappy Forest Service roads. After hiking all day (and it snowing all day), I was a bit concerned that I would have trouble getting out - I was about 25 miles from the nearest main road. My concern was for nothing - I had no trouble driving out at all. I love this truck.

This was on the way in - It got worse than this as I got higher - And on the way out it was worse yet since it snowed all day long:

Another weekend, another trip to the hardware store.

Two hardware stores, actually. FYI: Lowes sells 1970's-1980's wood paneling, Home Depot does not, lol.

I'm making a false wall deeper in the lower level of the house. (The "Man Room")

We got county water run to the house last week and the new whole house filter is almost double the size of the old one. I Had to bring the wall out more to cover it.

Gorgeous country! Just out of interest did you add any weight to the back, or was it just fine without it?

Our snow is delayed, so I will still have to wait a few weeks to try it!

No weight - Traction control kicked in a few times - I threw it into 4H for a bit just to be more stable. Other than a bit of slippage (due to ice), it was VERY stable. It wasn't terribly taxing, but it was nice to give it a bit of a workout. Honestly, it was the ice that was more challenging than the snow. It was below freezing all day long.
