I have a HAM radio and a GMRS in my truck and I hate the way the cables are run. I pulled the phone tray and drilled a couple holes. Its not the best because the adapters I got only worked for one of the lines. I also have the @DirkM phone tray, so its covered anyways.

The cables now run out against the dash and up out of the way. I have a 67 Designs dash tray on the way and a JeepUniq mic mount for the Icom 2730 handset (which uses a hook style mount and not the typical button style). I will update when I get those items in.

No, it means they never clean their truck and it is unsanitary. ? ? ?

I am lucky enough to know people because of my Ranger. A buddy works for Mercedes and was able to get me in to his shop for my Long Range America Tank installation.

For how much this tank costs, the install directions should have been much, much better. None of the hoses were labeled like they should have been and you only get 3 pictures to go off. This was actually the hardest part of the installation.

We pumped over the remaining fuel from my OE tank and then headed straight for the gas station. (Ignore the price, I got 50 cents off per gallon)

Showing approximately 800 miles per tank, since I've driven about 70 miles since I filled up.

Nice, that would work with my Midland GMRS, my KG1000G has that full face that connects to the RJ-45. .... I still need to finish the custom faceplate, I've just been too busy with races, work, house and family to really work on the design for the updated faceplate.

The Icom 2730 has a faceplate that uses a smaller connector like a phone cord (when they had phone cords) and the mic uses a larger size. I don't know why the difference, but... here we are.

So you don't mix the connectors up?

i mean... maybe? They're labeled too, so... I know HAMs are special, but they should be able to read.
LoL

When I was doing safety for the utility in Florida, everything had to be made so the lowest common denominator couldn't fuck it up and get hurt.

We had some grating in the process area that wasn't traffic rated, everyone was told and there were signs not to drive a forklift on it. We had to use the crane to pull 2 forklifts out of the pit because people didn't pay attention to the signs.

They installed bollards inside to prevent people from driving onto the grating....

Its not for you, it's for the other morons... Err I mean, hams... ?
