I cleaned my balls!

Such exciting topics! I just had to add my nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat information for my incredible task today. =p

I finally did my post-winter ball mount maintenance. The French-Canadian AMPLock opened without any issues (phew!) and had no rust on the locking part of the pin or inside the lock itself. There was light rusting on the key cylinder and outer edge of the body. The silicone cap did a great job but also held a little dirt in moisture causing minor rust.

The three stainless pins for the Tow & Stow itself came out easily and did have minor rusting. I probably should have used a Scotch-Brite sanding pad to knock it off but I was to lazy to go get it. The paper towel with ethanol got much of it off. I also ran the paper towel into the edge of the holes to clean out minor grit. It was pretty clean and I always blast it with the pressure washer.

I also carry a spare set of those three pins in case some crackhead steals them ... =(

I couldn't find my white lithium grease so I used an ancient tube of "extra special" bike grease. Seems like it should be an okay choice. I only put a thin film on, I don't want to give dirt too many places to stick.

Last step was to polish my balls. It always makes me feel good to buff them and make them shiny for everyone to see. =D

love this little Freight Harbor stool, such a back saver! =)

pleased that it opened easily - lock made by poutine-eating frogs - my kinsman

I wiped this down to leave a thin film

tiny bit of surface rust

lube it and move it in and out a few times, then wipe off excess - priceless life advice

woot, this is enough work to make me feel like I've accomplished great things today =D

I did ethanol wipe off the grease on the bumper, I could see myself busting my a$$ on it

I just gotta ask....
Just how "Good" did you feel when you "buffed" your balls ?????
Also, does the greasing and lubing last more than one "buffing" ?????

Time to take those balls on a dump run!
I'm a little confused why you don't just hang your balls on a nail in the garage when you're not using them. Keeps them shiny without all the extra grease and rubbing

Rental going to Mexico and back in a day, nothing suspicious here officer. ?
?Shush You!!

No hemi? Boooo
No Hemi. But it still went pretty darn good, a lot better than I expected.

Hey I rode the shark for you give me break! ?
I had one of those as a rental in 2018 when my car went in for hail damage repair. If I got a car instead of a truck, this would have been it. Fun car to drive and the v6/8 spd combo has some serious pep. Plus the interior was nice.
This is my first time driving one since the 80's. lol I have to admit it was a nice car and pretty comfortable inside too. Even though it didn't have a Hemi it still had some punch to it. I hit triple digits a few times coming home and once you're up in the rpm's and nail it it takes off from there. ?

I tried to install the struts on my roof boxes. It did not go as planned. At least I only drilled one hole I will need to plug... I need to look at a new option. I might just need to get shorter struts. Time to revisit the drawing board.

Discovered I can manipulate my engine by hand. Apparently the motor mounts are the same material as the support bearing for the driveshaft.

If I grasp my engine cover(Easiest spot) I can wiggle the entire engine...
Yeah, like basically every passenger vehicle in the last fifty years.

Backed the XLT out of the garage this am and pulled in my dad's '20 Silverado and did an oil change for him (he's 87). Pulled the XLT back into the garage! Pretty much it!
