Here is a great video on SL vs LT. I carry plug kits for my SL tires, yet to use them. I do trails in Colorado so very rocky trails. LT's just arnt worth it in my opinion unless you are offroading with maximum payload and or towing.

I agree with the sport mode or tow mode. I bought the replacement EGR sensor when I thought I was experiencing some of those issues like lurching or hunting for gears. After some aftermarket upgrades and a tune my problems went away. So I just think it was the factory wonky transmission...

Your symptoms sound similar to the bucking and surging thread. Search for it on the forums. You may just need a new EGR Sensor.

Hopefully they resolved the issues. They were having lots of replacements under 1k miles on the 8speeds transmissions last year.
