Decided to try and remove my sway bar before buying a pair of disconnects. I removed the sway bar a week and a half ago.

I will not be putting on the disconnects. Looks like the fox 2.5's upfront control the body roll well enough. I adjusted the 2.5's to be a bit more firm to compensate.

Highway at 75+ feels no different, already had to swerve once at that speed. It's not for everyone and I wouldn't do it without an upgraded suspension.

Not that I've done it yet. I got the Fizstick to be put in next oil change. Also got the tailgate ladder to install. That way my munchkin self can climb into bed, without a step stool. A new trans pan is in the works. As well as the fluid/filter change.

Installed the engine cover yesterday, cleaned up the engine bay and I’m hoping it’ll reduce a bit of engine noise. Time will tell.

What I'd like to get is the delete panel for the back seat. In the over 5 years I have owned my truck. No one has ever sat in the back. Someone had one a while back. But I don't know if they ever got rid of it.

Here’s a super cheap way to delete the seat, at least the butt cushions. Only requires a 2x12, a 2x2, a 2x4 “hobby panel’ of plywood, and a carpet roll from Home Depot. It makes a nice flat platform, and it pulls right out when not needed.

After a test fit, I glued and screwed the 5 pieces together. There’s another 2x2 in the inside corner of the 2x12 and plywood that’s not shown in this picture. The rear edge of the plywood was cut with a jig saw to follow the cab contour. Then I wrapped the whole thing with the carpet and stapled it on the bottom, no glue needed.

That looks like it is perfect for my camping adventures and hunting/fishing trips. Did you happen to keep your dimensions for the cuts on the wood? Going to copy this. Thanks for posting.

Actually, it was so easy, I didn’t really measure anything. The hobby plywood panel from HD was 2x4 feet and almost fit as is. I just moved the seats full forward, placed the sheet against the rear cab wall, and marked it with a compass to match the rear wall contour, and cut off a few inches, so it would fit behind the center console.

For the 2x12 front supports, you just measure from the outer floor to the start of the center hump. The 2x2 supports are just cut to fit the panel, so basically an 8 footer, cut in half.

The hardest part is folding over and stapling the back of the carpet. You need to cut wedges out so it folds down nice and flat.

The best thing, is that the 2x2 and 1/2 plywood is just the perfect thickness to tuck under the factory wire-tabs that the seat bottoms attached to. Makes a perfect snug fit.

I pulled the jack and handle out of the storage bin before inserting the shelf, then just stuck it under on the floor. You could get fancy and add doors to access the bins, but I think simple is easier.

Finally got an alignment on my truck... i swear it feels snappier now... both front tires had about 0.25 of negative toe. Doubt that's enough to really feel but w/e, so far feels like 90 bucks well worth it. Plus it'll keep my tires happy

3 1/2”F 1”R BDS w/Fox 2.0 now on the truck.
Plus a Westin modular bumper & lights.
The only pic I have at the moment… I haven’t even picked it up yet.
I am pretty excited about it.
Existing tires are 285/65-18’s with plenty of tread left. Next tires will be *light* 275/70-18, maybe in the fall…

I wanted to follow up to my post on my 3.5BDS kit after some drive time. Maybe 50 miles in today…
Very solid feeling truck now. I have always had good experience with Fox shocks and I feel the same here initially.
I have a single rear leaf and that should work for my needs.
I am doing the lightweight route not bulking down on a adv type vehicle. Day trips, weekenders and moteling it. I do camp light in a backpack style, and just did at the Hammers event.
Lightweight wheels/tires and hopefully a tow tune in the near future.
Trying to limit the hobbit hole!

Traded it in. Got back into a F-250. Thanks to all for the great information on the Ranger, it was a good truck...just a bit too small for me.
