Finally got a half decent day to install my black, smoked chrome ovals and my dealer replaced my grill.... Oh and had my Bak Flip MX4 replaced due to water getting in between the layers and freezing.

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
First verify the spacing for the upper front holes. Seems I tried to move my tie downs up and the spacing was different.
I can now confirm! Tie downs do NOT fit those upper slots. Spacing of the holes is just slightly wider.

Increases my curiosity as to the reason for those upper threaded holes.

Yes, I did do it within about 5 minutes of the package delivery. So what! Ok ok... maybe I am just a bit excited about my new truck. And maybe I am being a bit stupid.... "maybe" being the key word.

Still, it is one sweet ass truck. :like:

I don’t get to post in this thread as I haven’t done anything since the first month of owning it but today I did do something with my 21 Crew XLT 302a, I paid it off.

I’ve been very aggressive with payments and got it to a point where it just made financial sense for me. For now, I am waiting about 5-8k more miles so I can jump back in this thread with new, larger tires. ;)

@Friday yet? Are those the genuine Ford tie downs? If so, how much did you pay? If not can you share a link?

Yep. Genuine.
Yep. Seem a bit overpriced (IMHO)
Yep @ $80 with shipping.

Couldn't help it. Really wanted the 660# rating of the OEM parts.

Thanks. I have been looking at the $569.99 Black HDX set. Realtruk has a rebate going on them right now and I tempted to pull the trigger. I was hoping for something with a little less drop, but these come up in all my searches.
Here’s a bit of a PSA for you…

These are mine after a few winters of salted and brined roads. They need to be blasted and repainted. :(

I might also replace those “grip” portions with something else - might also just leave them off.

The powder coat finish is a bit thin. If I were to do it over again, I’d paint or Raptor liner them before installing them.

Some camping trips. Buddy Heater pretty much makes 30 degree nights a non-factor. Low setting (20lb tank will last 220 hours) more than enough to keep the interior toasty.
