In Estonia, verivorst (blood sausage) is made of pig's blood, barley groats, pork, marjoram and other flavourings. It is sold and eaten mostly in winter, being a traditional Christmas food.

Well I had to finally try Spam. Never had it before and wanted to knock it off my bucket list. Well all I can say is I wonder what is really in it ?. Guess in an emergency I could feed the neighborhood with the case I bought at Costco for the pandemic.

Not my favorite, but I’d eat it in a “pinch”.

We ate alot of spam also........we ate what mom and dad provided. Wasn't steak but we pretended it was. Folks worked hard every day for meager income. We never questioned what we were having to eat but rather happy it was enough!

I would definitely rather have spam than potted meat, which is what we ate during lean times.

Lost the tip of my finger to one.

I found if it's just the tip and you put lots of antibiotic cream on it then tape it together good it will reattach in a couple days. Messes up your finger print though if not perfectly aligned. Don't ask how I know.
