It's adapting to your style of driving. It will be smoother over time. Sometimes when you change your style it can get clunky, but overall it will be smooth.
My understanding is that it is not adapting to your style of driving but it is adapting to manufacturing tolerances. I believe that should all be done within 500 miles. It would need to be re-done if you disconnect the battery, but otherwise it does not take that long. If you are still getting rough shifts after 1100 miles, I think you should take it in. I've got over 11k on my truck and the only rough shifts I have are when it is below about 35 and it is the first shift of the day. All the other shifts are very smooth, and it seems like that is the experience of most people.

Red,

that’s exactly how mine runs. If below 40 I let if warm up a minute or so before driving. Other than maybe a cold rough shift previously the tranny has been great.

Does it continue to adjust throughout the life of the vehicle? Right now my wife is dong all the driving as I am healing from some surgery. She has a heavier foot than I do.
Hi Ron,

Best of luck for your surgery!

Thanks, Phil. I am a little over 2 weeks post op for left wrist 4 corner fusion. Damned arthritis pretty much destroyed the wrist bones. I am doing well, but oh how painful it is when they mess with your bones. Have a great weekend!

I agree! I am 8 weeks out from shoulder surgery, a bone spur was shaved down and I have arthritis in it too. It is still somewhat sore but my mobility is better than before surgery. Each day is a little better! Hang in there!

Good luck on your shoulder. I still have a metal pin in the hand/wrist. Maybe it will feel better after that is removed in a little over two weeks from now.

Thanks for clarification.:like: I thought it was sensing how you drove as to where to make shift points (on average) in relation to the throttle body position. I know computers can do amazing things. I would think it would be related to RPM's also.

How hard can waiting really be?
You are a member of this forum, so that means you will be buying something every few days, meaning you will be receiving a little bit of your truck everyday for the next few weeks! haha
Congrats!
It is definitely worth the wait (as spoken by someone who bought off the lot.....)
Funny you should say that.
I have already bought a FORScan tool, a 2" stubby antenna, the DeeZee tailgate damper and a center console tray.
Plans to get running boards the week the truck is due to arrive and then a ArmorFlex cover and a BedTred mat as soon as I have it.
On the fence about LineX. Might get it... Might not

Down the road just before we move to Florida I plan to add sheepskin seat covers, a Husky X-Act floor liner and mud flaps
