Dealer called today, looks like the water was coming in from the back window seal. They are going to reseal it and dry my carpet out, should get it back on Friday. I hope the carpet doesn't get funky smelling when it warms up around here.
That's great they identified a issue. Can be more than a little frustrating when these things happen. After the next "rain" event, let us know if this issue is "history"!!!

We had had two rainstorms, some snow and no leaks, looks like they fixed it! They also replaced the carpet, said after drying it, they saw mold forming. My truck smells better now. At least this dealer is better than the last one I was going to.

Has anyone had an issue with the carpet being wet in the floorboard? My driver's side is wet. I have noticed water on my door sills and wondering if that is causing the water in my floorboard. I have a worthless service department at my Ford dealer, so before I drive miles to the next nearest dealer, I wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. Thanks

In my Ford Ranger is is the same, lots of water inside the cabine, my problem comes from the AC water drain.

I need to take mine in as well. It gets a musty smell every time after a hard rain. I have only ever seen a little water on the door sills, and so far unable to find any damp spots on the carpet or source of the smell. I have felt every possible area I can reach and nothing. The odd thing is it will only last for a few hours on or the day after said rain and is not coming from the AC since it hits you when first getting in but the truck is off.

I had water in my AC and it over flowed on the floor.
The dealer removed the dash to clear it.

I was told it was spider webs. the drain come out right above the bell housing

I have my 2021 Lariat Tremor at the dealer now. It rained a couple of nights ago. The morning after when I went out to my truck, I had water standing on my floor mat. The carpet behind and under the brake pedal was damp. Fortunately the water didn’t get under the carpet. I suspect a leaky windshield seal. I removed the cowl cover and flooded the area with water for a couple of hours and couldn’t duplicate the leak. It started to rain so I put everything back together and waited. No water in the floor though after the rain.

I found my front floor mat was wet, it turned out it to be leaking from the rear window seal. Check your rear carpet too.

I have the rubber mats. No water under the carpet, jute mat is dry. Water is leaking from under the dash. Dripping down onto the brake pedal assembly. As well as parts of the wiring harness. Pretty obvious it is leaking from the windshield/cowl area. My dealer contacted corporate and they are working through it. I had to leave it overnight. I only had it just over a week. No fault of my dealer. . They went to VA to get it for me. I suspect the dealer there was aware of it. They had the truck for over 3 months.

Sunroof - sorry I had to throw that out….. my last 2 F150’s both had a sunroof and in both the floor stayed wet.
Probably is the windshield so while frustrating it should be an easy fix

No sun roof in my Ranger. Hopefully they will figure it out and get it fixed quickly.

Update… Ranger has been in the shop for a week.
Timeline
1. I dropped off 7/8/21 at 10am
2. The afternoon of 7/9/2, I got a call from the Svc Mgr. He stated they believe the windshield has a bad seal or a break in the seal. He stated the glass guys would look at it Monday 7/12/21.
3. I called late Monday afternoon. The Svc Rep said the glass guys only come by the dealership on Wednesdays. They are a out of town company.
4. 7/14/21 Wednesday afternoon I receive a call from the Svc Rep. They state my windshield hasn’t arrived from Ford yet. I’m like WHAT?! It is just supposed to be a pull and re-seal. I ask for the Svc Mgr to call me and explain.
The Svc Mgr calls and apologizes for his miscommunication. He stated the windshield apparently can break when removed. They wanted a replacement on hand, should it break. They ordered the windshield on Monday, but it had to be sourced from a different warehouse, it was out of stock in ATL whse. So it didn’t arrive on time. Should arrive the next day.

5. So here we are today, 7/15/21. Windshield arrived today. They sourced a local glass company to come do the install. The Svc Mgr called me at 3:30 when the glass company finally showed up. He stated they would install the new windshield, let it cure overnight and water test it tomorrow. Then put my truck back together.

Well I got good news late yesterday. My Ranger was ready to come back home. The dealer pulled and re-sealed the windshield. Then they did an hour long water test and found no leaks. I went and picked it up and brought it home. I parked it outside last night, as we were to get some storms. I got up this morning, went and checked it… No water in the driver side floor! Yea!!! It is fixed! Thank goodness it was just a bad seal on the windshield.

I'm going through something very similar. Was it the actual back window or the driver side rear window seal. Trying to pinpoint things to look at to figure out where this leak is coming from. Because my front driver side carpet gets wet and i have no idea where the water is coming from.

They said it was the back window seal, the water was running down to the floor and then it just seeped forward and got that carpet wet. I only noticed it when I took my front Weathertech mats out to vacuum underneath.
