I get it.

APG has/had probably the best long travel kit available. While the entire kit may no longer be available, their billet UCAs are and are available for steel or aluminum spindles. If I wanted the most real world desert tested UCA for a Ranger I'd go that route.

In any case I'd look for billet over tubular if breakage insurance is what you're buying.
Will check into it tonight. Is it anything like Camburg’s billet UCA?

Sand highway runs….. the up-and-down Sand highway to olds…… the next to gecko Road runs…… runs to duner’s diner……. Swing set runs And so on.
Our crew of Idots would dominate Olds and China Wall with our highly modified 250R ATC's, CR500 cycles, and nitrous injected sand rails...
Loved the afternoon sand drags , where we could face off against the fastest for bragging rights..?

Thank you, that’s giving me some direction. A 2022 has a steel knuckle, and I believe there is at least five choices now for the steel ones. On the icon one, more than a few people say they dry out and squeak really soon after install and and I am not sure, but I believe you have to disassemble it to lube the bushings again.
I didn't read past the first page, but I have the Icons. There are zirk fittings and everything is greaseable on the truck. I have about 1000 miles on mine so far and I don't have any squeaking. When I do, I will just add grease. It's a simple process.

What shocks are you running? Thanks.

Hi, I have 2022 FX4 and Fox 2.5’s to install front and rear. Would really like to hear your opinions on which upper control arms are best to buy and if possible why. Thanks again.
BDS Makes a sweet set of UCA's. They only work w/ aluminum knuckles.

I know, I don’t get it with these folks “my pos Icons squeak” well go get a grease gun genius. With fittings at every joint, and full of grease, they just are unable to squeak!

Yes I replied that my Icon UCA squeak. I also said I love them.
To be more specific its more a creaking noise when the suspension is being compressed. They also properly maintained. Do not appreceate the snarkiness.

Well sorry if you got offended. If you truly have yours greased then you may want to look elsewhere for the creak.

To the OP,
I had Eibachs pro trucks 2.0 for several months before I decided to join a group buy here on the forum. I have a 2 1/2 lift from the Eibachs so many here would say they were not necessary. After installation I noticed immediately that it rode smoother and the front suspension worked much better, perhaps because I could utilize the extra inch of travel from the extended range of the Eibachs. Huge difference on rough terrain. I am running 32" 265 tires with no issues for 8k miles with this setup.

As stated I initially had no intention of upgrading my UCA but glad I did get the Icon UCAs, particularly thanks to Frank at Stage 3 and the group buy.

Hadn't really thought about ride quality improvements. That seems reasonable.

Its all good. Its barely noticable and I hear the same sound from other vehicles (JEEPS?) when they are articulating thier suspension. Going to check with Icon on the specific specs on the grease they recommend.

Not a set up that anyone on a budget would want to look at...but if you want to drive fast in the desert I would recommend an extended travel coilover paired with the APG Billet UCA and APG Billet tie rod ends...
My set up....
