Q1 2020 sales stats are in for Ford vehicles and the Ranger racked up 20,980 units sold in the US, representing a huge 122.69% increase over Q1 2019 sales. It's now solidly in third place within the midsize pickup segment and trailed the Colorado by only 450 units. If the sales trend continues, it should easily be in second place by the end of Q2.

Here's how the Ranger fared against the competition:

Not a surprise, the ranger was barely available in q1 last year.

whats with the Gladiator?
is there really that many people out their with severe brain damage?
I'm curious to see what happens to their sales. Almost all of the ones I've seen in my neighborhood replaced wranglers. Do they have an ongoing market that won't just cannibalize sales of other jeeps? I guess we'll see in the next couple of years

Tough way to go for Ford getting back in to this market. Low inventory and low awareness Ranger is back causes low Q1 sales.
COVID-19 had to have put a hurt on 2020 Q1 sales.
Tacoma still massively outselling all still

apparently. I think they're the fugliest thing on the road since the H2. the dog trainer I go to replaced her Prius with a Gladiator, which I think is about the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.

It seems like they designed the gladiator in segments, it just doesnt mesh together well at all.

i traded my horrible frontier for my ranger. i was also looking at colorado and if jeep made a 2 door gladiator it would have been competition. i don't care about the looks as much as functionality but they are ugly. I'm at that point of no Japanese car ever again because i have never had a half way decent experience with any I've owned. Gimme back my caddy with northstar before ever buying japanese again

It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand...

When Gladiator came out dealers were marking it up $10k for those Gotta Have It First types.

Now they have $10k in incentives to move them.

Not that that's a bad thing, after all I got my Ranger for almost $11k below sticker, but it really bites those who paid way over sticker and are now thinking of trading it for something else.

I've always wondered why anyone would pay over sticker for a vehicle that is Still Being Produced.

It's not like there won't be another one available.

On another forum, there is a guy who traded his Wrangler for a Gladiator. He said it was optioned up and MSRP of $61,000. Said he got it for $52,000. I don't get it either. :frown:

One thing about Tacos...
Recently I had to buy at the drive-up due to Covid-19.
They're a lot better at the store,...
By the time you get all the way home, they're just no good anymore.
