Don't tell anybody, but years ago I bought a lottery ticket and won.

I didn't report it and kept every bit of that $10 to myself :sunglasses:
I won the lottery too….

My current 2023 Ranger is lifted on Fox suspension, OME leafs, sitting on 285/75/17s and I don't even notice my camper trailer when towing... other than getting 11mpg towing or 15mpg not towing. It's interesting that a truck with 200 more HP would have less power pulling?

In terms of money, I won't disclose my occupation, but my income is 7 figures. Money isn't a problem. I love my 2023 XLT, but after test driving a Raptor I love the power! I just don't want to get rid of a perfectly good truck for no reason. I don't want an F150, too big.

An we’re back, phew!

It might not be about pulling power. It might be about torque or the Raptor’s rear suspension, or something completely weird. 🤷‍♂️

Steve (@Grumpaw ), above, or others who tow a lot might have some insight into the Raptor’s towing capacity figures.

I got behind a F150 Raptor last week on a bumpy road. I could see the wheels and suspension absorbing all the bumps while the body rode very smoothly. Meanwhile I was getting thrown all over the cab of my Ranger following him. Looked like the ride would make the Raptor improvements worth it for my old bones. Probably doubles the insurance cost being coded in the Vin though.

I don't see any reason to wait for a 2027, as nothing new as come out on the Australian models Raptors. Raptors don't get BlueCruise and there's been no mid-life body refreshes overseas. The only difference I saw on the lot is 2025 has 12v in the bed, 2026 has 120v.

Just went over my first 1k miles. I felt the same way about trading in a perfectly good truck. But damn I like the Raptor. I figure it was coming up on 78k, never replaced the brakes, never replaced the battery, coming up on another transmission service etc. So there's that. And I love the sound of the exhaust, in all modes.

The Raptor suspension is sooooo much better! The Watts link rear axle is great.

Yeah I just crossed 55k. The only thing it's ever needed was a new battery and a DPFE sensor (never threw a CEL but the symptoms were starting to show, so I just replaced it anyways, instant fix). Always dealer serviced. They want to give me 25k for it, which I think is a smoking deal for a 23 XLT FX4. They will CPO it they said.

I spent tons of money modifying my 23 FX4, and the Raptor off the lot, bone stock, is better in every way by leaps and bounds. There's no amount of reasonable money I can throw at my 23 that can make it even compare to a stock Raptor. It crosses off all my checkboxes and I finally can get some speed back. I miss having a fast daily driver and you bet your butt, after the first service, I'll have the dealer slap on the ford performance tune.

I think I am going to hold out for the 2026 Goosetuned. A little pricier but I have seen nothing but great reviews. Not too worried about the warranty. And yeah, there's nothing much else I want to change, it's so well-equipped.

Duke.....only info from me is from what I have read on the 2026 RR specs which list a 5500 lb towing capacity....big dump from our 5G 7500 lb capacity. Don't understand it as the 6G RR has more hp, better suspension, same 10 speed trans.
But, wasn't the 5G raptor also limited to 5500 lbs ?????
Maybe gearing ????????

Suspension is the limiting factor.

Coil springs vs leaf springs.

Leaf springs are better for towing.
