Ohh, they will also add a set of maxtrax for another 540 bucks! Great deal! ?

But damn, the rivian looks so much nicer than the Maverick... ? ? ?

We have both, my wife has a 2022 Maverick Lariat hybrid with everything but the moonroof. I have a 2021 Ranger Lariat FX4 BAP.

Since both of us are retired the Maverick gets driven most and when we drive together I’m doing the driving. The hybrid Maverick is sportier than I thought it would be, handles great and took a bit to get comfortable in it. It’s a great value for what we got. That said I prefer my Ranger because it fits me better. My wife loves the Maverick.

She bought the Ranger for me 2 years ago and has never driven it ?. That’s ok by me.

Congrtas. That's what I went in to buy but I waited too long and the tow package was no longer available. Ended up with the Ranger.

But for my wife and I, who are short in stature, the Maverick would have been an easy transition and I'm sure the ride is much smoother. Plus, compared to my XL, the XL Maverick has so much newer tech in it.

But had I gotten the maverick, I wouldn't be able to gripe about all the deleted parts of the poorly designed bed rake.

Although I'm sure I could have found many things to gripe about and buy on the Maverick forum!

I'd love to hear your thoughts about it once you've driven it a few months - have fun! =)

Hey!
So... fun fact...
I was named after that TV character.
My mom was gonna name me Dana, but mercifully my brother stepped in. He told Mom, "If you name him Dana, he's gonna get beat up every day!". So I got Brett cuz my brother liked the TV show.

Nice truck, I would have one of those too, instead of the Ranger, if I did not want to pull a travel trailer.
Congrats!

How does the cvt transmission feel in the maverick? The last time I drove something with a cvt (an older nissan), it was awful.

I love that story and how awesome is that! =)

I spent 15 years in Texas and Dana, Kim, Lindsey, and Kelly were all guys I knew (don't forget other "girl" names like Leslie Nielsen, Kelsey Grammer, and Carroll O'Connor).

But I've never known a Sue!

Fine so far. I don’t notice anything. My Ranger always clunked around trying to find the right gear so it’s been nice not having that happen.
This is my second cvt vehicle. My college freshman daughter has a 23 Mitsubishi Mirage g4 and I toot around town in it a bit here and there and so far it’s been pretty great. If I never had to get on the highway I’d have bought a hatchback mirage but the whopping 72ish horse power that thing has wouldn’t haul my fat butt up an on ramp.

I’m also quite short and it is nice not having to repel out of my ranger or get a ladder to get in the bed. I only had two must haves on my new mav, copilot 360 and a tow hitch. I luckily got both. Not that I’ll ever tow anything since I think 1500lbs is the limit on the hybrid but I like having the hitch for aesthetics.

I traded in my Ranger today too, a well-equipped model that looked good IMHO... but what a saga. After six weeks for sale with zero inquiries, I had to consider a trade-in. Worked with several dealers, but most would only offer low 20's or flat-out declined to take it. Found one willing to take it as equipped with racks and awning (the buyer was into camping etc) but six hours away. I departed immediately and left with a Tacoma, my fifth. Farewell to transmission roulette, non-functioning climate control, an engine that sounds like a lawn mower, and a comm system that refused to recognize my iPhone daily. I know all cars are a depreciating asset, but the bottom really fell out on this one.

How much they give you? Mine was a bone stock 2021 fx2 crew cab. Only options were Co-Pilot 360 and the towing package. Had 26k miles. I got 27k. I was really hoping to get closer to 30 but was just being greedy considering only paid 31k in 2021.

Hello Top
i almost fell for the Ford Maverick hybrid too. But I need to tow. Maverick is not the best for that. Love my 2023 Ranger XLT FX4.
I get that. I’ve literally never towed anything in my life heavier than a 10 ft Jon boat with a trolling motor so the Mav works for me.
I liked my Ranger. I really did. But my transmission was always clunking around searching for gears, I had to replace the battery at 15k miles, the heating/cooling not having knobs bugged me as I was always either searching around with my finger for the right button or had to do it thru the radio which got on my nerves as I always run google maps on it thru CarPlay, and my door was misaligned at delivery and I didn’t notice it til I got home and that cost me 2 weeks without it a week after I bought it. Little things just eventually just caught up to me.
