Life's short - get the one that makes you smile and fits your needs. If you don't "need" a pickup, you can always rent one from U-Haul for the times you must have a truck.

Order delays and waiting is a big drag, the days drug on in '22 waiting for Soupie and it was only 3 1/2 months - but it seemed an eternity. The wait allowed me to watch every single YouTube video on Rangers and to find this forum and create a mile-long list of stuff I wanted to add (see my sig for the link to the list). =D

A Bronco would be a lot of fun, a bit like my old FJ40 as far as form factor, and, as some have already said - a very different vehicle.

You could also get a trailer for the Bronco if you need regular hauling capability.

I look out the bathroom window at 3AM and smile when I see Soupie - that's what you need too, with whatever you end up with. =)

Good luck!

I sill like my current Ranger. Ever since my wife passed away my whole outlook on things have. Like you said "life's to short " to wait.

The salesperson see's your itchy for a vehicle and wants to sell one now(the day you were there) The Bronco is there on the lot so he upsells it by saying the Ranger won't be there till summer.
Remember with sales people it's all about them, them, them. could really care less if your happy after you sign. JMO
Understand what you are saying however about wanting to sell. The small town dealership I use has never pressured me in any way to buy or sell any of my vehicles. There are actually some out there with a conscience. I've taken all my vehicles there for routine maintenance with no issues whatsoever on any type of up selling of services.

Good luck with your choice.

is this a 2 door or 4 door. if it's a 2 door I approve, it's a 4 door pass ?
It's a 4 door, much more practical for Me since I will be doing a lot of traveling. I can always sleep in it just by folding the back seats instead of spending the night in a motel/hotel. Being a widower now I don't have to worry about getting a hotel or having the different comfort levels.

I posted a few weeks ago about ordering a new Lariat. I stopped by my dealer and was looking at the Bronco's and saw a really nice 24" Big Bend 4 door for a little more than the Lariat I ordered.
I was talking to the sales manager and asked if they think my truck would be built by end of summer. He told me more than likely not. I've seen on this and 6g that people have ordered around the middle of last year and still don't have production dates yet. I know Ford went through a strike last year.
So my question to you all would you continue to wait or get a Bronco?
Please don't skewer me too bad!
Lol
We are sort of in the same situation. Our 2017 Ranger Lariat is still in good shape and has only 30,000 miles on it. But looking ahead, at some point we will have to move on. I want to replace it with a Ranger Tremor with the 2.7, but the wife wants an Outer Banks four-door Bronco with the 2.7, mainly because it has more space inside the cabin for sporting goods, clothing, shoes, drinks, etc. (I already suggested a truck with a tonneau, cap, or shell, but that did not fly...) I am not sure how all of this will work itself out. Our garage is too small for two vehicles, and the wife does not drive, so it would not make sense to get two vehicles. Anyway, even though I would prefer the Ranger, I could be happy with a Bronco. Let us know what you decide and how it works out!

Depends on whether you want a pickup or a suv. Both have benefits so I'd go for the ranger since my wife already has an suv.

I've had trucks on and off all my life, when I don't have a truck it seems I always needed a truck. I have had a crv for a tow vehicle for my rv but never fit the bill so I got a pickup again. I'm happy now. ?

Car prices are starting to get shaky.

If cost is a factor, maybe by the time your truck is delivered you’ll be able to make a better deal.

Still totally different vehicles as to their purpose
Ranger.......Pick Up Truck
Bronco........SUV
Not the same, even tho they share some pieces n parts......
They are both made on the same T6 platform. They are VERY similar.

I'm with @Grumpaw on this one. Sure, they share similarities on a basic level and maybe more than a few core parts are interchangeable.
But one is a truck and the other is not.

Hmmmmmmm...
I took a verrrrry close look at a Ranger and a Bronco.....
I took me awhile of comparing the two side by side, and guess what...
There Is No Pick Up Bed on a Bronco !!!!!
Wow, who would have thought that such "similar" vehicles would be so, so, so, not similar !!!
Lots of parts interchange, but they are not "similar" !!!
Going by your definition, any Ford that uses the 2.3 , like a Mustang, is "similar"
WAIT !!!!! Does that mean I can join a Mustang Forum.....Oh be still my beating heart !!!
