They say that geniuses pick the color green when presented with an option. Perhaps the automakers assume that we are all idiots, because I rarely see green as a color option anymore.

I always insist on "green", but only when I sell a vehicle , not when I buy it!:rolleyes:
Did you know that the color green is the photographic negative of red?

Like 4000 times above, larger fuel tank... I know 350-400 miles is a long time in a truck cab (people like to stop every few hours) but with 7500# towing, you'd think they would want you to be able to go farther than 3 blocks between fillups. I will probably be looking hard for an extended tank in the next few years as I plan to tow a medium sized camper (4000#) and I suspect I'll be going 150 miles max on the tank...

Really missing the heated steering wheel. Heated center armrest that I installed into my Fusion is a nice thing to have too. Full fin antenna too. Can't stand the stick.

I'd imagine you could replace the antenna fairly easily, but the heated stuff might be more difficult. I'd love a heated steering wheel as its fat, and holds in the cold for way too long when the temperature is nearing 0F or below...

I would be happy with just a dip stick to check the transmission fluid level. I am too old school.
There is a tranny dipstick BUT to get to it you need to put it on a lift and check it "only" when it's hot. The dipstick on the 10R80 tranny is near the exhaust muffler (right side of tranny) so don't burn yourself. Being a hillbilly, like myself, just dig a hole, in the ground, to make your lift:wink:

I went through the whole replacing the antenna on my Fusion. Since I never listen to the radio (AM/FM) I'm just going to remove it and find a little rubber plug for the hole. I did the heated center arm rest fairly easily on my Fusion. Cost my less than $30. I originally hooked up the trigger to the heated steering wheel but It's not getting warm fast enough. I'm going to change it to the heated seat trigger.

Setup a thread on the heated steering wheel if you get into it. I'd love that feature, I'd even want to try and add it to my wife's older edge...

It's going to be a lot of research.... I believe if it can be done an Explorer steering wheel, heated steering wheel module, steering wheel clock, harnesses and forscan will be needed.....

After driving my truck for a few weeks my biggest pet peeves (option/equipment wise) are these:

Center console way too small for a truck. I mean come on! Did they take it out of a Fiesta??!!

Very inconvenient rear seats for cargo: need a fold flat option and, as stated a ton here, would also be wonderful for it to be 60/40 split.

And since I‘m going to be off-roading on the w-e a front locker option would’ve been smart (maybe as part of a FX4 level 2 package??).

Tell it like it is if you haven't hauled 44000 lbs of French fries up grape vine or even mt Shasta stay around half your rated tow capacity.
Just yesterday, I crossed Monteagle TN at 60mph on cruise control towing an RV trailer just 5% below tow rating. Got 24mpg on that tank as well... 2016 Ford Transit Connect.
