I went through the same gyration but without the spreadsheet. I was able to eliminate all of the other brands for various reasons then it came down to an XLT or Lariat. The XLT I configured was only <1k less than the Lariat I configured and I couldn't get the exterior options I wanted without another option dropping off. I was on the fence with the leather seating. With the Lariat, I could get the LED lighting and really the exact look I wanted so the choice became pretty easy for me.I was trying to make it a more logical decision rather than an emotional one. In the end, I chose the Lariat, and all the numbers supported that decision. Basically the spreadsheet just had features running down the left side that were important to me, and then 3 columns for each truck and whether each satisfied the feature. Some ended up being a Tie. A point for each feature win and then I totaled up all the points for grand totals. I even did a few weighted ones - for features I felt were MORE important than others. Those were given a higher weight. It was a really interesting exercise, but I spent WAY too long on it. I kept second guessing myself....
