Does anyone know a basic way to measure for bigger tire fitment?

I'm not interested in messing with stock suspension because the factory setup with DSSV's and a factory +3" is all I am after. However I still have my eye on 255/85/17 (35") pizza cutters instead of 285/70/17 (33").

Would it be as simple as checking the wheels at full lock both directions and using a tape measure to see if 2 extra inches would impact anything? Any other redneck ideas?

I figure going to thinner tires will help in some aspects, but the overall circumference might still present problems?

$1,500 is a lot of money to "just see how it goes".

I'm guessing the Colorado Forums don't have a "Tire Size Fitment Master Thread" thread?

Almost next to no one is running 255/85/17 so vehicle specific fitment is almost non-existent and only one company has this size combo.

Have discount tire do a test fit.
I did not know this was a thing, Ill call and ask thanks.

Oh yeah, it’s aptly named the “test fit”. 😂 they’ll be happy to do it.

I like them. Personally, I would prefer to leave them as is. I prefer the bit of contrast rather than exact color matched.

What do you guys think? Little darker than I wanted, but its growing on me.

I still wonder if a change over to tan via powder coat would look best.

You could plasti-dip them to see if you prefer tan and if so, pull the trigger on powder coat. Personally, I like ‘em.

I agree, leave them as is. Getting an exact match would just make it seem like you're trying too hard to prove that you're not just another mall crawler.

Unintended consequences; The ZR2 factory width and 25mm offset factory wheels were about the same width as my Ranger with 0+ offset wheels.

These Icon's are 0+ offset as well - I have reached maximum width for my garage drive on ramps without ripping the floor decking down on the side. lol =/

I now have to back in very precisely heh

Can anyone share a group of people more inept than Facebook Marketplace users?

I'm debating the morality of selling my factory wheels (with all the pertinent information about fitment included in the description) and just letting some dumb SOB buy them without googling their own vehicle bolt pattern without interjecting and saving them. I've saved about six poor morons so far from wasting $600 because they can't be bothered to rub two brain cells together.

let them buy it. I almost sold my tonneau cover to a guy with a titan. He refused to measure his bed and asked me if it would fit. Then he insisted on “test fitting” before he’d pay me. No dice sucka.
