We had our 1st in Montana on Sunday - Sep 29. The only day since I got my Ranger 4 weeks ago that it stayed in the heated garage all day.

About 40 miles hwy in the snow. 2wd was fine but on the Little Donner Pass I switched to 4 Hi because there was about 3" and enough traffic if I had to make a maneuver would be ready. Takes a few seconds to engage at 50mph.

Never felt loose in 2wd or 4wd...pretty solid traction. Side streets were un-driven so had a little fun in 2wd. Would have played more if wife and dogs weren't still in the truck.

Need the mud flaps.

Looks like you need a snow blower....did you shovel that path?! My brother just moved back this year after living in Arizona for 19 years....kept telling him you don't need to shovel sunshine!

Yes, shoveled into the garage where the blower is. It's our mountain getaway and we hadn't been up for two weeks. Normally can still drive through the snow but that was too much...would give a try with the truck. Only high centered the Forester once which actually had 8.7 " clearance, close to the truck.

Hell NO! That's why I moved here was to get away from that stuff lol. 50+ years living through N'easters I'll take the heat here any day.
