I’d like to hear them lol my f250 platinum tailgate closes super easy so slamming the tailgate shut never crossed my mind on a 2022.

It was a joke, but how about:

What type of train do you operate?
Is that Chemical or Civil engineer?

It's possible it's a little out of adjustment, I don't have to slam mine.

Inferior brand of damper most likely the culprit. If it does not have a DEE ZEE brand damper it will obstruct the closing. I would suggest spraying 303 detailer on the damper body so it slides past whatever is obstructing it. Now if there is no damper installed still spray 303 liberally like several bottles on everything.

No. My F250 tailgate shuts fine with practically one finger.

Don't worry, I'm timid slamming mine, I'm scared I'll dent it with my hand! I try to close it with two hands to spread out the force.

BTW, don't listen to naysayers, you MUST get a damper. =p

Even the 2024 redesign comes with a damper! (poor @AzScorpion, his retirement fund is in jeopardy)

Recently purchased a 2022 Ford Ranger Tremor and the other day I noticed the tailgate not shutting flush with the bed sides. There is about a 1/4" gap from the bed sides and some play after it is closed. I can move the tailgate back and forth on the latches. Everything works fine but this seems unusual. Anyone experienced this?

Is it possible the tailgate anti theft bracket optional dealer install was not done correctly??

Tailgate on my truck closes very easily. Has from day 1. Just like the example in the video.
