Does running two different brand wheels make it bi?
Mostly concerned about fitment on the front and wanted to see difference lol. My truck has a "its none of your damn business" attitude lol. love the 6112's and am debating between bilstein or eibach and definitely getting sumospring blues. This thread is about wheels though and I can say, you can get stock tacoma/4runner wheels all day out here in hawaii as everybody rips them off and spends big money on flashy wheels. Some for sale literally have 1000 miles on the stock wheel/tires and go for $500 for the set with tires. Financially it just makes sense to thrive off of someone elses lunacy!

Hey I just wanted to let you guys know that the Tacoma TRD off-road rims fit on our trucks. I got pair of Federal Couargia MT LT285/75R16 to complement them. I haven’t officially mounted them since the lugnuts arnt the same. Once I get them all 4 mounted I’ll update the thread with more pictures!

The only thing I had to get to make it 100% fit are a pack of hub rings (106mm OD/93.1mm ID)

if you guys have any questions please let me know!

after the toyota symbol was removed the wheels look pretty sharp. i bet a lot of take offs are collecting dust we could snap up. i like my stock wheels fine. but i want to run a 255 80 17 without rubbing etc. so i thing i need different off set.

which hub rings did you go with? I got some 2003-2009 4runner limited wheels for a song in 16x7.5 and they will look boss once i get them painted black with logoless center caps and some lt265/75r16's. My only problem is that when i threw them on with the hub rings it cracked one and the others don't look happy.

Did you get them in aluminum or plastic?

polycarbonate, the inside of the wheels was gross but... maybe aluminum rings would "mold and shape" under a torque gun rather than crack?? the toyota rims have a tapered hubcentric and these seem to be straight on either side. just a guess but definitely something that should be looked into for those that are wanting to go to tacoma wheels.

I went aluminum that have a tapered side and a flat side. If they're the right size they should fit entirely inside the rim and entirely outside the hub with almost no pressure on them.

The trick is making sure the wheel is on the ring properly and flat against the rotor before you start torquing. Mine have a touch of rust but are otherwise the same as they were the day I bought them.

If you could try to remember the brand, it would be super helpful and there would be much rejoicing.

In the meantime I'd pop those center caps off. You don't want your Ranger to become underpowered and have the tranny start surging and hunting for gears. lol
This didn’t age well with our transmission issues popping up more frequently.

My 255/80 r17 Toyo AT3s fit on factory Magnetics with 2" of lift and crash bars still in.

Right! Who would've thought 3 years ago all these transmission problems would start coming up?

It's dirty but here's a crashbar and a tire.

Not sure what you want a picture of.

thank you ! I was wondering how much room you had left with the taller thinner tire.
